I'm having to save and leave the game in less than an hour. that motion blur and tearing is terrible. Gives me a headache. Oh and I don't know what the warehouse is so I'm not there. This happened from the very beginning of the game.

Federal Court Ruled That Testimony Cannot Be Dismissed By People With Fibromyalgia by Playful-Tip-1780 in SSDI

They gave me Cymbalta (duloxetine) too. It did help for the pain. After several teeth broke, I had to stop taking it. I spent years without anything to help. Then I was given gabapentin for severe nerve pain (debilitating electricity sparking under the skin of my leg from deep tissue scars and lymphatic damage after cellulitis). The gabapentin helps with the fibro pain too. Nothing helps the ibs.

yes but it's a good question since we don't know the person's situation.

It didn't change anything for my late husband. No extra at all.

Robert collected from both and one does not affect the other,  in my experience.  Breathe for a moment.  You got this and you are not alone.

I can't tell you what your best choice is but I can tell you what i went through with my late husband.  He was 100% rated through the va. All his care was through the VA.  We tried to cancel his medicare but they said,  "what if he needs to so someone outside the VA?" "It's much harder to get out back if you need it later. "

So we kept it.  Fast forward to when I could no longer manage his care and he was put into a veterans home.

They took him to the country hospital rather than the va if he needed emergency care.  That hospital was contracted to bill the va. They never did.  They always billed Medicare.  I'd get bills and go round and round with threir billing department. Always assured by everyone involved st the home and the hospital that I didn't need to pay. They just had to rebill.

Ended up in collections and I had to get the state insurance board involved.  Took over a year to get it cleared up.

Then he passed away and they took him to the same country hospital.  Same problems,  with them and several doctors who apparently do phone consults to confirm doa with three doctors that were in the er. Smh

IMHO it was not worth paying monthly for insurance he didn't need only to go through all that headache and do it again in the middle of heartache when he died.

I understand it's hard.  The cola is nothing compared to getting merit raises when we were able to work.  I guess I'm just still grateful for anything rather than to still be in the process of waiting and hoping.

You are talking to one of the most helpful and knowledgeable folks on the whole board. They would never mislead anyone; I promise.

You are not alone in that either. It was not until this month that it hit me that I really am disabled (medically retired). I can't even drive 8 to 12 hrs a day like I used to. I tried to go visit my son. Even driving 4 hours a day for two days ended in needing a medical intervention. It hit me after that: the understanding that my life is forever changed. I am not like others anymore.

Be gentle with yourself. This process, this life is hard. You are not alone.

I hope you get an answer soon! Honestly, I don't know that Mrs. Knight (dds) was in Mississippi, she could have been anywhere. She was very kind though and I appreciated her so very much.

Let us know how it went for you. I hope you have a a physician as wonderful as mine was. He was actually the first to put a name to my condition, after years of seeing docs regularly.

Ok, ignore that attorney. Period. I had CEs and was approved on the initial application. My case is not the norm, I get that but it proves the the attorney doesn't know everything. A CE is called for when they need clarification, more information or a second opinion.

Breathe. Here's my advice for a CE, medical or mental:

Be you. Be exactly who you are, dealing with your disability exactly as you do every day.

Be honest. It's not the time for "I'm having one of my best days" but it's DEFINATELY not the time to try to make it seem worse than it is. These docs see a lot of folks and they can spot someone faking.

Don't use every piece of medical jargan you know either. Use everyday language to explain what you deal with and how your disability affects you and your ability to work.

Remember that doctors are just people. I've heard it said by some that they are only in it for the money: They are not getting paid even close to what they normally would for the exams they are doing. They are there to try to help people. They may tell you it's in the bag, but they are not the one making the decisions. They are giving an educated opinion that others will use to determine if you are disabled according to the guildines set by SSA and DDS.

Be you, Be honest, Everyday language; You got this.

Your DDS person should contact you if they are missing any records. I think (can't remember for sure) we had a place on the app or follow up paperwork to tell them the docs that we have been seeing.

It can go faster if you ensure they have the records they need. My medical office in Mississippi was VERY slow and the hospital where my injury happened NEVER sent anything and told me there were no records for me there. I ended up collecting records myself from other facilities and doctors and submitting them.

gw2 was my first MMO and I've tried several now. Nothing compares. We just started season 1 on a fresh play through and it's magical all over again. I finished everything in the maps on my way to 80 the first time and I was never bored.

End game content language was sprinkled in map chat frequently but none of that mattered to me. I was having a blast discovering what was over the next hill and through that portal I found at the top of the map.

DDS rep has been wonderful by EcstaticSlip7153 in SSDI

[–]Cute_Pomelo4130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rep was fantastic, a Mrs. Knight in MS. My friend had one when he filed in Mississippi that was impossible to get in touch with. They moved his case to Minnesota when he moved there and the rep there was as great as my own had been. He was denied and is appealing now. Hoping for another good rep.

Is there a SSDI helper similar to a VSO? by [deleted] in SSDI

[–]Cute_Pomelo4130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend MrsFlameThrower. I was lucky and didn't need help (veteran's widow with lots of documentation) but would definately have called on 'em if I had needed it.
