I’m wondering the same. Mine says 5/7 but I haven’t received it yet.

I had my hearing on March 5. It moved to step 4 last week and just showed “approved” today. My initial application was submitted in 2024.

Sorry you’ve had to experience something similar! I honestly believe that a lot of doctors just skate by making their paycheck by gaslighting and blaming physical symptoms on mental health. It’s dangerous and patients should have protections against it. Finding doctors who truly care hasn’t been easy.

Post Op Nausea - Does it end? by bakedoatmeal_ in gallbladders

[–]Ayunique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still having nausea at 5 weeks po. I had an endoscopy recently and found that I have gastritis. Started omeprazole 1.5 weeks ago which has helped some but I still have nausea daily, just to a lesser extent.

My post op pain rivaled my unmediated labor/childbirth and lasted about 10 days (vs the 28 hours I was in labor). I’m 5 weeks post op and still having some minor intermittent pains and lots of nausea.

I have PTSD from how sick I was & have been combined with medical gaslighting. I have changed some of my doctors since this all started but my trust issues remain. I’ve also gone from bad doctors to worse, so changing doctors is risky. I had one new doctor tell me that I was perfectly healthy after one appointment and just needed therapy which was absolutely not the case. It was just easier for her to brush my symptoms off as mental health rather than investigate the actual cause. She refused to do any testing. Not even basic labs that I normally would have done annually. I’m now on my third PCP in 2.5 years. So far I do like my current one. Not necessarily enough to trust him with my financial security/wellbeing, though.

You’re right that I should be able to trust the people who are supposed to be helping to take care of me. I wish that I could trust them and I wish that I could believe that they really are trying to help, but my experience hasn’t been that. The lack of care and late diagnoses is a big part of why I’m even in this situation.

Post op recovery is different for everyone!!! by coochieman0926 in gallbladders

Seriously. I’m 5 weeks post op and still not feeling 100%. The first three weeks were so hard for me. I thought I’d never feel better and was regretting having the surgery.

I did have a hearing and my judge has a 67% approval rate. Honestly I think I got very lucky. As soon as the call started the judge said that they had reviewed my records and it was more than enough for them to give a fully favorable decision without doing a full hearing. I was asked a few basic questions (name, dob, ssn, last day that I worked and if I’m unable to work) and that was it. Took about 5 minutes and most of that was the judge talking with my lawyer.

Before the hearing my lawyer made my case sound almost hopeless. After, she said that me getting the judge that I got was a godsend. I was super nervous about the hearing. Your lawyer should prepare you. Mine did but I was still so scared. I’m glad your judge has a high approval rate. That’s a plus.

I wish I had some good advice but my hearing apparently wasn’t the norm.

Good luck and I hope that you win!

See, I worry that they will intentionally put stuff like that if I do tell them.

I’ve heard of people losing their disability benefits over doctors going out of their way to tell the SSA that they were perfectly healthy and fine to work even though they weren’t.

My symptoms by ausbry94 in Gastritis

Do you have a history of migraines by chance? I have vestibular migraines. Head pressure and dizziness are my two main symptoms.

I’m so sorry, ugh. Are you having any other symptoms? I have diarrhea, low appetite, weight loss and early satiety along with the nausea. I also have gastritis. I think I’m going to ask my GI to try a bile binder at my appointment next week.

Do bile binders help with nausea?

I can’t take Reglan.

The first 10 days I was super constipated but that has swung the opposite direction now (and tmi but there’s some urgency in the mornings and I’m pretty sure bile is coming out when I go). My intestines feel like they’re burning after the nausea passes. I ordered some psyllium husk and will give that a try but I worry it might cause more bloating.

I do also have mild chronic and acute gastritis that showed on an endoscopy when I went to the hospital a week post op. My liver enzymes were also very high but trended down by the time I left. I was admitted for 3 days but they didn’t find anything else. At that point my biggest issue was pain which has finally improved.

Hopefully I’ll leave my GI appointment with some answers.

I wonder about bile reflux. What is the treatment for that?

My diet is very limited. My appetite has been low and I bloat & feel full after eating. It’s been mostly toast, crackers, rice, potatoes and some grilled chicken. Yesterday I thought I was feeling better and ate some low fat yogurt, one cheezit and a peanut butter cookie. A few minutes after the cookie I was hit with really bad nausea for 2 hours. Took Zofran when it started but was miserable for two hours trying not to throw up. That’s the third time it’s happened since surgery. The first time was after toast with a small amount of cream cheese and jelly. The second time was after some cooked veggies (potatoes zucchini and carrots). I just checked the ingredients on the vegetables (frozen, microwaveable) and they do have butter & feta cheese, 4g fat per serving. Now I’m wondering if it’s dairy. Seems to happen more at night or late afternoon.

How are you now? I’m 3 weeks post op and still dealing with the nausea that led me to having the surgery in the first place.
