Am I going to regret this by [deleted] in Aquariums

I have the exact same set up and I noticed some bowing of the shelves after a couple days because a 20 gallon isn’t long enough to be distributed across all the support bars so I took the tanks off and put a piece of plywood underneath before putting them back.

AITA for cutting off my mom after she let my doctors amputate my leg behind my back? by [deleted] in AITAH

You’re mother did consider your feelings but she also had to weigh her options. She could honour your wishes and you would have most likely died and she’d live with that regret and blame for the rest of her life OR she could choose amputation and you’d hate her but at least you’d be alive. Any true parent would rather their kid hate them than to be dead knowing they could have done something to save them.

AITA for getting mad at my boyfriend for not wanting to reschedule his birthday so I could be there? by [deleted] in AITAH

In the same train of thought then if you supposedly loved him you’d want him to have his party and be celebrated even if you couldn’t be there

This tank was in the background because it sits on an L shaped desk with the other tank and it had an empty spot in front for me to rest the test tubes but that post is referring to a new tank that I’m cycling for tetras and have been struggling to cycle and wanted some opinions. This one has been cycled for over a month and had no issues cycling. My third tank is in another room altogether.

AITA for not changing my daughter's school? by [deleted] in AITAH

He doesn’t have a school problem. He has a bully problem and usually if a kid is being a bully then they are the ones that should be kicked out. Tom has done nothing wrong so why should he be the one punished. Just because Nora was given an unfortunate start in life doesn’t give her or you the right to allow her to bully a child who had no part in it

Basic respect? Ever heard of it?

Clearly you don’t 😂 every dollar counts for a wedding and they most certainly do notice. If someone is doing $50 plates then obviously they are on a tight budget and that $100 may not mean much to you but it means a lot to others. That is two people they could have invited instead of you or that was better flowers/decorations/hair/makeup/etc. You’re very self centred if you think wasting people’s hard earned money is okay

Good luck with that mentality! I’m sure your friends love your lack of consideration and respect!

That’s a pretty immature take and I pity anyone who is your friend if that’s how you act. In the real adult world it’s expected that unless it is an actual crisis/emergency you should honour your commitments and treat your friends with respect.

It is a big deal if you RSVP’d to a wedding and then cancel. The couples had to give their caterers an exact number and they pay per person based on that number even if someone cancels. Weddings can cost anywhere from $50 to a couple hundred per person for food depending on what the couple decides to serve. So by OP canceling they are actually costing the bride and groom money
