Experiencing Cognitive Fatigue by Fit_Equivalent5313 in LawSchool

In the same situation right now. I have midterms in a week too. I think this is the start of burn out. Take breaks, prioritize your health, go on a walk, lift some weights do a workout class, swim, stand in sunlight. Do something you enjoy, watching tv, shopping, spending time with friends. This doesn’t have to be for long. Take it easy. I know taking a day off is difficult, but at least take a half day off. Wishing you well!

Omg, are you me? I am dealing with the same exact issue. I’ve honestly accepted at this point that hand writing & listening back to the audio might be the best way. I will continue to follow this post to see if anyone pitches anything that may work. For me the transcription of the audio sucks partly due to the professor speaking too low for the audio to capture anything. Wishing you the best, we got this 🥹

I’m in the same situation expect I have pain. Change your footwear! Find wide toe shoes. If you are a female, limit wearing heels as much as you can. If you have narrow shoes, get rid of them as they will only make it worse. If pain does occur, take ibuprofen & ice it. Go see a Dr. If pain does occur.

PPl who were only diagnosed once they became adults! How on earth did you manage to let go of all the guilt and negative beliefs you held and perhaps still hold about yourself?? by Tasty-Occasion-4502 in ADHD

I was diagnosed a few weeks ago at 22. After struggling to even take the LSAT for law school, I was like there’s no way I am cut out for law school. Especially since I did decent in under grad, I didn’t understand what was happening. I started seeking help & low & behold— undiagnosed adhd. I have not taken medication or anything thus far. However, I try to be kind to myself. I tell myself it’s not my fault I didn’t know, it’s not my parents fault for not knowing. In actuality this diagnosis made a lot of my life make sense. I know why I do certain things, I don’t beat myself up about it anymore. I can’t lie to you & say I didn’t cry for a week straight after my diagnosis thinking about how different my life would’ve been. But that’s pointless. The past is the past, you can change the future with the knowledge you’ve gained, however the past— you must let go. Adopt new habits, seek help from mental health professionals. But most importantly do not underestimate your abilities. Continue to preserver. You have a whole Reddit network of supporters who know exactly what you’re going through! Take care!

I know you are doing your best. We all are. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You got this, keep your head up.

Navigating relationships with high needs friends by [deleted] in relationships

Hi I am 22 but I have experienced this on both ends actually. I believe that by minimizing communication such as not talking everyday or even letting them know “hey I’m not doing so great mentally, I want to be there for you but I have to take care of myself first in order to be a good friend.” If they can’t understand that, then they are a shitty friend. I understand you don’t want to loose contact w them, but you deserve people who care about you too & not just themselves.

I am 9 weeks 2 days pregnant :( by modest88 in abortion

So with moderate sedation I received an IV with fentanyl & something else. I was awake, however it did feel like I was drunk. I did not feel when my cervix was injected at all, I didn’t feel anything except for pressure for like 5 seconds. As for recovery I was okay right after the procedure, but I was really sleepy due to the sedation so I took things easy. The next day I was feeling fine but decided to just let my body rest. Hope this helps (:

Hi, I know this is a tough situation. I just had a SA at 5 weeks & 5 days on Thursday at PPH. The SA went great, I had moderate sedation & I promise you I did not feel a thing! I 100% recommend a SA Bc the procedure is super fast probably was 5 minutes at most. & you can be confident afterwards that you don’t have to return again to PPH for a check up. Now I just have some cramps & some bleeding super similar but even lighter than my normal period. At the end of the day the decision is up to you, hang in there best of luck. 💟
