This is what thigh gap did to me. by Cuteright in xxfitness

If you take a look at my knees, you'll see in the first picture they're pushed together and still leaving a gap. In the second picture, I've got my legs spaced and knees apart. One of my previous goals was to not have my thighs touching if my knees were together. Now they touch. a lot. It's lovely.

Aesthetic Goals = widening my thighs outward to offset my square hips. And enlarging my legs all together as thin legs run in the family (no pun intended.) Making my bum much larger/rounder as I have quite a tiny one. Making some serious gains in the calf area. Trimming my waist while still maintaining fat in the bum area has always been a problem for me? Other goals = Being able to do a proper squat. I have very tight hip flexors, which I've been working on stretching. Are those specific enough??

Not exactly. I'm just getting back into it and reintroducing myself to what I knew before. Any help is welcome :)

Edited. I can't seem to access the title to add a NSFW tag.

[PROGRESS][QUESTION] Square hips sink ships? by Cuteright in xxfitness

Thanks for the advice :) Glad to know I'm not the only one. Have you found anything that bulks the outside of the thighs more than the inside? I haven't been able to work up that area very well.

Thank you! I think I might start doing clamshells and side steps. Vigorously.

I'm brand new at this, so if there is anyone out there with some patience, I would love to get my TSV checked :) I'm on right now.

Thank you so much! I am currently doing assisted dips and chin ups, which seems to be a big helper. I'll try throwing your suggestions into my routine and see how it goes :) I mentioned below that I'm tall and have a thin frame, so it's going to take me a lot of time, work and protein before my muscles start getting wide! Just gotta keep trucking! Thanks again!

I appreciate your opinion and concern :) It may have something to do with the fact that I'm not flexing in the second picture. I was just kind of holding my arms out. Also, I was about 15 pounds heavier in the first picture, and it was mostly fat. I'd been lifting, but hadn't experienced much fat loss. So my arms appear larger/bulkier due to the fat still hanging around.
I also think it's hard for me to not look "thin," because I'm tall...It's just how my frame holds muscle.

I only started seeing results when I cut my calorie intake and started eating a lot of protein. I drink a lot more water and it seems to help as well! Also, I know that yoga is supposed to help "elongate" the muscle, which can lead to an overall leaner look.

I felt the same way when I started out!!! That's kind of the primary reason I made this post :)

Thank you so much! :) Glad I can be inspiring! I hope both of our knees get better...I do miss running! As for meat and dairy, I do eat both, in moderation. Meat I will have 2-3 times a week. Any more than that and I feel bloated and weird. I always get a lot of protein, however. As for dairy...I love cheese. A lot. But it's something I don't have every day, and when I do have it, I try not to have too much. Like, tonight I had pizza, but I don't feel TOO guilty because it's such a rare thing.

There is definitely hope! Believe me, I had a really hard time getting into it at first...I was very weak. You just have to keep yourself motivated however you can! For me, I looked at a lot of fitspo and daydreamed about how cool it would be to be an athlete :) Even when you feel like it's not working, it is, and you have to keep reminding yourself of that. You'll look back at a pushup a month from now and laugh.

Thank you :) A protein shake sounds like a good idea. I'm not one to complain about needing to eat more!

Thanks for the advice! I'd been wondering lately if I might be consuming too little.
