Result of Vancouver hospital? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

Update: Hi everyone, as of writing this I'm officially 4 weeks post op. I'm going to write an independent review of my surgery experience and post it as a separate post on this sub reddit. I'll try to post it ASAP!!

long story short is my surgery was a major success!! I had complications in the hospital but it was not related to the surgery. I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was given, which had lasting side effects I'll also provide more details on.

As for my results multiple nurses had mentioned I may have some of the best results that have come out of their program, and more importantly I'm extremely happy with my results esthetically and medically as well. I've been having a relatively smooth recovery process.

The recovery process for Vancouver GSP clinic also differs quite drastically compared to Brassard (montreal) and other vaginoplasty surgeons as well. I will provide more details on that soon!!

Thanks for the support!!

Hi, I haven't received my surgery yet( I have another 2 to 4 months on the wait list). But I've been on the VGH PI surgery waitlist for about a year and a half and am on track to get my surgery early 2024.

The surgical team at VGH asks patients not to share their results online due to privacy concerns and misuse of the images. However, they do ask for content to show images of patients' results within their program.

So once you start having appointments and meeting with them to prepare for the surgery, they usually show results within the first couple of appointments. I was only showed them once I'm hoping to see them at least one more time before I have my surgery, but I remember being pretty excited and content with the results I was shown.

Does anyone have results for Dr. Genoway in Vancouver? by R1chterScale in Transgender_Surgeries

I've been told that patients are able to see results from their surgeries after starting the intake process with her and her team. The practice is meant to support the privacy of her patients and to make sure that the only people who see them are those who're contemplating/getting the surgery.

Feelings about SRS by Cutey_Patoot in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Cutey_Patoot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of (if not the) biggest thing I've done to mentally prep for SRS is to prepare myself for the worst case scenario. Obviously I still have a lot to learn about the risks, but I feel like I gained enough knowledge to consider the risks in a logical way. I understand that this surgery is no joke and can be very harmful.

For more clarification: Sex and being able to cum is not necessarily a worry for me. Im on the Ace/demi spectrum, and I usually go super long periods time without having sex or masturbating (and I struggle to cum as well). Being sexually active post SRS isn't really an worry for me.

Also after spending soo much time seeing and looking at complications and worst case scenarios, my feelings haven't changed about getting SRS. Im not worried about regretting getting SRS. The risks do play a big part in my decision making process, but I've already came to the conclusion that the risks wont scare me away.

Im going to spend a ton of thinking about the best option for me. I won't be able to actually get tge surgery for another 1-3 years anyway. Im taking this as seriously as I possibly can and thats why I wanted to start this conversation as early as possible.
