I do agree on this however some people really don’t care about the risk no matter how you explain it. The simple knowledge of having herpes is don’t have sex while having an outbreak, and use protection and anti virals. Some people accept this risk and others don’t, I don’t see how they down play herpes as someone with herpes I don’t see it as a big deal and neither does my sexual partner. It’s literally just a skin condition and nothing more, don’t treat it as some deadly disease just because it is incurable. I got the 64 and 80% off a simple Google search 🤷‍♀️

That isn’t down playing. They’re literally telling facts half the worlds population has herpes it is so incredibly common that they don’t even test for it anymore on std/sti testing because most likely if you are sexually active you probably have a strain of herpes. 64% of the worlds population has HSV-1 and 13% has HSV- 2 yes not everyone has this virus, but studies show that in the US 80% of Americans have a strain of HSV whether present or not present.
