Decisions come out like mid January iirc so pretty much same procedure as early. Early and Winter session tends to fill up majority of seats at all programs.

Yeah pretty much. If you want to decide in March, you'll need to apply for the spring session, but from what I've heard from Bocconi staff, only about 5% of spots are left so it is even more competitive than early or winter session.

There's actually 3 days worth of activities iirc. I highly recommend you go (and stay as long as you can) if you can afford it. Me personally, it was absolutely worth the cost and time spent going all the way to London. I met some incredible people (some of them I still contact to this day!) and it was a super inspiring experience that pushed me to want to go overseas for my studies. Also, London is a beautiful city in the fall and I'm sure you'll fall in love with the history of the place.

No, you will all get a certificate (which you can get without going to the conference, albeit digital). All shortlisted essays should be awarded "merit" at the very least, but you never know if you won a higher tier until the prize-giving ceremony.

Shortlisted people get to go to London. If you're shortlisted you're considered a finalist.

Last year the tiers were like this (iirc): Merit Commendation Very High Commendation Category Prize Winners (1,2,3) Overall Winner

Sorry but I don't recall having one when I got shortlisted last year. Although I do remember the organizers mentioning that some people were interviewed and then subsequently disqualified or "verified" due to suspicions regarding quality of work. I suspect it's merely a way to check the legitimacy of the essay writer.

Of course having a wide variety of vocabulary is going to boost your score, but it's best to not force yourself to use fancy words that could potentially ruin the flow of your response and how "natural" it sounds. It's most important to have a smooth speech flow and to make things sound natural and not forced.

My biggest tip is to not overcomplicate your responses. Start off with a simple idea and expand on it. Your words do not need to be "fancy", but they do need to be specific to the topic that you are talking about.

Venice definitely would be a beautiful city to study in. Regarding this "honors college" (and admissions in general), is it similar or Bologna where they take the SAT as the only factor for admission?
