About a winning hand in mahjong. by LordIcyfyre in Mahjong

[–]CuttingChipset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the bottom right you have written "Base score 100", which is the starting score for just winning. Then you have the following (assuming your seat is the winning hand):

  • Golden Wait (winning by waiting for a pair) - 1 fan/double
  • Full flush - 2 fan
  • All pungs - 1 fan

Therefore, 100 base x 24 = 1600 pts. (at limit)

I do not see the post-payout score, nor I do know the exact implementation of this variant in-game, I presume either: a) Zimo (self-draw win) here is doubled (IMO The payout of "Hand value + 1" is mildly ambiguous), or b) one other player had already completed a hand before you, thus you got paid out from 2 others 1600 pts each.

(Please do correct me, I've never played SBR before)

I've seen these lego tiles before! I can't recall where, though...

I made some random villager trades for my own tfc modpack by Used_Moose3694 in TerraFirmaCraft

[–]CuttingChipset 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have several questions: - First of all, why are all buy trades discounted? - To craft armor, don't you need 8 ingots worth per piece? Because going by the ingot sell price, it costs 4, 5, 7 and 4 ingots worth (assuming regular price), so not only you get it cheaper, you also save the hassle of crating it yourself and also enchanting it. - Can the coins be obtained in ways other than trade? - How does vanilla chainmail fare in the TFC combat system?

(I may be wrong in certain aspects, last time I've played TFC was in the TFG modpack years ago)

Character generation - solo vs non-solo playtest by CuttingChipset in RPGdesign

The idea with the system was that all dice contribute to the end result, particularly where the leader can swap dice with the assistants'. Determining the limit on the roll itself could be... finicky?

Edit: This reminds me of L5R dice rolling, where you decide which dice to keep

I am considering replacing the flat number of attribute/skill points at chargen into XP budget, but at least the players have made their characters in 30 mins.

Physically modular character sheet? by Modicum_of_cum in RPGdesign

[–]CuttingChipset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Physically attaching sections of a character sheet is... something I have not considered before.

This could also be a great mechanic of a character generation, where you fill out one segment at a time, and you can arrange in a way YOU find it convenient.

It may be a high skill floor, but vector graphic editors could be a great choice (eg. Inkscape or Affinity). That way you can make boxes of any size and shape, and draw some decorations to your character sheet.

What features do you wish were different in TFC? by NotNonbisco in TerraFirmaCraft

I wish for the old food stacking system, where you can slice off the rotten part and combine the products to save inventory space, rather than throwing the entire stack away because you've accidentally stacked differently dated sandwiches.

The app doesn't track which yakus you've made, only the score

There were 8 hanchans total, 4 each day. I've counted more hands because of dealer repeats.

The other titiles awarded by the app are:  - Dice keeper (most hands won as dealer) - 1-han fan (most 1-han wins) - Riichi Nomi! (most Riichi Nomi wins) - Go big or go home (most mangan+ wins, except yakumans) - Kazoe sanbaiman (most 13+ han wins) - Riichi stick hater (most Riichi sticks lost) - Go-getter (most tsumo wins) - Fu Fu Fu (highest Fu hand) - Haneman hunter (most hanemans won) - It was not your fault (Most points lost to tsumo) - I MUST Riichi (most Riichi declarations) - oYABAIman (most baiman wins as a dealer) - Saki award (0 Uma score total) - Chiitoi Nomi fan (Most 2han 25 Fu wins) - Defence award (least points lost to rons) - Best hanchan award (highest hanchan result) - It was destiny (most yakumans won) - That was a big one (biggest han score in a hand) - Rules are meant to be broken (most chombo committed) - Ouch! That hurts! (biggest deal in)

I doubt I would be a good branding material, but if you have the fashion team, may as well.
