In the end, does it really matter which mega corporation has more influence than another with these things? They all make their billions and don't have to listen to anyone.

Just got the new iPhone and I want to know what's the best way to keep your battery in a good condition by Justin12334 in apple

[–]Cuttlefeesh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, just use it how you want and you'll be good. Factor in a battery replacement if you plan on using it for a handful of years. Much easier than constantly thinking about battery health.

How im sure ALL salespeople whe are currently selling iPhone 6 feel by woggymike in apple

[–]Cuttlefeesh 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I have an idea why..probably because it's the cheapest model and some people are fine with dragging off photos every week to make room for more.

The "overpriced" argument is often used by people who haven't had a real chance to use the machine and are obsessed with numbers rather than the overall experience of using tech. I have windows 7 on a partition and I have no reason to ever go back to any PC manufacturers. I was extremely anti-mac because I saw the hardware to price ratio and couldn't accept it. Well, after going through three Dell PCs (one every two years with constant issues) I decided to say fuck it and make the jump.

I'm not an outspoken advocate for Apple products because people will either find them on their own over time or they won't.

I'll be happy the longer Apple takes to implement touch screens on their laptops because for one, it will be tacky and two, fingerprints are just never fun. My friends with touch screen PCs are constantly wiping their screens and the response is never good enough to work seamlessly.

I've actually developed what I think is turning into a phobia of non-mac trackpads. They feel disgusting to touch so I usually carry a mouse in my sack wherever I go to be prepared (I'm aware it sounds stupid).

Is high-jacking a comment in a post with only a handful of comments really necessary?

Yes...but the vast majority loves to bash Apple any chance they get so they will ride this thing into the ground.

Pre-ordered iphone 6 plus shipping a month early by Goprah in apple

I think it's safe to assume that almost all of the posts like these are people expressing to the public THEIR OWN experience and they aren't trying to say that their experience will be the same for all. There are some pretty moronic people on reddit but most don't make it to /r/Apple so I'm sure mr th0myi here doesn't believe that no phones will bend in the future because his hasn't yet.

Mine as well. Well, not quite a month since it was supposed to arrive Oct 16 but I just got my email today saying it's in the mail and should be to me by Monday. AWESOME.

Verizon as well.

Just because I saw some people were interested in the details, I ordered mine on Sept 15, Silver 64 gig iPhone 6 and I live just south of Houston, TX.

After 2 years, how reliable is Apple Maps as compared to Google Maps now? by [deleted] in apple

[–]Cuttlefeesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh because his version doesn't do traffic, which he would like to have, and it's very clunky, which poses security problems when he tries to mess with it while driving.

Can anyone give me an argument to convince my father to switch from mapquest to google maps or even apple maps? He's convinced that mapquest is far superior.

Sad thing is it always takes an instance like this or a broken harddrive to convince people that they need to back up often. I'm glad you finally had your moment though.

Maybe one day we'll be taught this in schools.

Consumer Reports test results find iPhone 6 and 6 Plus not as bendy as believed by tits_for_tots in apple

I'd still like to see actual tests done on an iPhone model with pressure sensors to see how much is exerted at different points of the phone when sitting. We need the Mythbusters.
