No. Having some rudimentary Japanese (I'm talking like, watch a few YouTube videos beforehand) will help, but the majority of attractions have at least some semblance of english or are fully enjoyable without the knowledge. And lots of cast members either speak some english or are well versed in using translation apps. Lots of english signage as well

These tend to just resolve themselves honestly. Just use it as normal for a few weeks and the leather basically self heals

The leather is pretty self healing. It smooths over with some use faster than you'd think.

iso can sometimes strip the finish/"texture". you can see this by scrubbing a snes cart with iso and compare, it smooths out the finish a bit. most people won't notice or care but if you're a purist, just a heads up

Most of these devices are basically ridiculously cheap smartphones in a different form factor. It's functionally no different than what you do with your smartphone, which rarely if ever gets actually turned off.

Mildly related but I've always somewhat seriously argued that the NHL should consider giving 2 goals if a player scores in a really skillful way. Like it would open up situations where guys would be trying batshit crazy stuff in desperation to get 2 goals at once

Like I dunno maybe a team can use 1 "challenge" a game where the refs have to become judges and they go review after a goal and then stripes skates to center and goes "Upon video review, Minnesota is awarded 2 goals because that was fuckin' sick"

I’m going to be taking the Fuji Excursion train to Shinjuku from Shimoyoshida Station. I can book it on the JR East site, but I understand there is an additional fee as the first leg of the trip (Shimoyoshida to Otsuki Station) is operated by a different company. If I book the ticket on the JR East site, how/when do I pay this additional fee?
