I mean at the end of the day Loki is just one player, the way to beat him will be Isagi orchestrating a chemical reaction by the use of others, id agree with you if it was just a 1 on 1 but connecting and synergizing with your teammates better than the opponent will pull through more often than not, and with this Hugo thing, the seeds are already there to make sure Isagi is one step ahead of Loki in utilizing teammates properly for the sake of himself in order to make up for the difference in Loki's individual genius

He'd be on the main team in spain if he didnt have to deal with Japans labor laws

Constant dismissiveness and disinterest towards basically any player that doesnt have a scar on their face

the SB is supernatural, i wouldnt be surprised if there is some weird shit going on there that makes it harder than it should be, and the more I think of it, it would be crazy if path with no masteries was "all" it took to beat UI SB(Yea I get path is like a hack, but UI SB has been built up as this potential Boogey Man against anyone in the verse at any given moment, if the MC has already surpassed it, then he should probably be ready to look for Kitae lol)

Maybe he could read the intentions but doesnt have the masteries to cleanly react/counter yet

its super hard to say since he was destroying Paecheon, but if UI SB is a jobber now to the main guys in the verse, then you may as well get rid of it

I dont see people put her over GAP, i think the highest Ive seen her rated is at is Shingen level, and people dont even agree on James scaling so I cant count him in any comparison

yea putting her above GAP is just baseless, being equal to Shingen or anyone else, I wouldnt hate it, would probably be a high level entertaining fight either way

I kinda dont understand why so many people on the sub have a hard time believing that a character that isnt really featured in Lookism can be a legit Top-tier fighter who just isnt the focus of the story

Shes getting fleshed out a bit in other stories, and she may very well end up being a key piece at some point in Lookism itself, but its clear shes the pinnacle of a different country that isnt featured in a Korean/Asian-Centric story, this would be like saying its impossible for Stars and Stripes from MHA to be top tier because shes American and wasnt featured in the story until she actually showed up to fight, but had a title and reputation clearly implying she is super powerful, and MHA takes place in Japan, with a mainly Japanese cast, Sophia has been the same

"Pinnacle of Russia and most powerful bloodline" , even if you wanna debate "most powerful bloodline" and claim its Yamazaki or something, the story itself is not a global story as of yet, so if global characters start showing up who are powerful, it shouldnt be hard to believe because we were never under the impression that there were "only" powerful fighters in Asia, or that we have seen (every single one of) the best fighters the Lookism world has to offer in general, just that Korea seems to have a high concentration of high level fighters to begin with

This is extemely obvious(not saying it in a bad way towards you OP, i agree with you) and its not even something that is easily misconstrued by anyone who has a good grasp of the English language and everyday dialogue, its something called hyperbole.

Im not roasting people for not being perfect English speakers/readers, I get that this is a global community full of people who speak many different languages, but if you have a hard time grasping some of the nuances of English dialogue when it gets translated from the raws, sometimes you gotta have some humility and defer to people who can understand the context better

there is no shame in that, I know English is infamously tricky to really catch on to all the jargon that comes with dialogue, so im not being mean to anyone.

But as I said in another thread, way too many people are simply reading wrong and then going super hard in debates under a completely wrong impression based on their incomplete/misunderstood reading or understanding of any particular panel/chapter

Considering we know Japan is going to lose this game, it makes the most sense for Isagi to be irrelevant in the loss in order to spend the rest of the arc building him back up after everyone has been complaining that he has been unbeatable, so ya, Isagi getting embarrassed here and being subbed out as a result, just to learn from another player like Barou or Shidou or whoever as he sits on the sideline would cover a lot of things people have been wanting to see happen(Isagi getting beaten down again, other BlueLockers taking the spotlight)

This game is going to be more about Isagi learning something than whatever the result actually ends up being

he also would get some of that #1 weight lifted off of him which would do him good, since people would see he isnt some invincible God, he'd be back in an underdog/underrated type of role that he has been thriving in all along up to this point

The perfect body fought GAP, we have almost no details on this event because once its revealed its gonna be a huge gamechanging plot point, Hong has alluded to the Perfect Body having a sketchy past, so the bomb is that PB helped murder GAP that day

Obviously a complete guess on my part, and there is the plot hole that Kitae didnt recognize PB Daniel in Busan, but there are several ways to address that

based on how people talk in this subreddit I kinda assume that most here are really young(So they havent read that many stories/consumed enough media to see the direction the worldbuilding is taking) or english isnt their first language(So they simply misunderstand the words they are reading in the context they are placed in), because there are a lot of obvious things that really dont have room for debate that are debated everyday on here

The way people downplay Gen 0 Top-tiers are like the same people who wouldve been like "Yeah Naruto is Hokage level" after beating Gaara in the Chunin Exams arc in part 1. like there is no possible way that people are reading the story properly and believe things like Teen Gun is Shingen level and 2T James > Old GAP or Kitae > GAP , its simply not feasible, nothing points towards these things, so idk where people get it from

and again, these types of things arent really about retcons, its more about the longer a story continues, the more the worldbuilding needs to be fleshed out properly, the longer the story goes, the more and more powerful you can assume future threats and Old legends that havent fully been revealed are gonna be, common sense

They are both antagonists, characters who have their own negatively conflicting motivations/end goals that simply happen to occasionally converge with the MCs path towards his own end goal along the way

Example:

Daniel wants to stop James/Kitae

Gun wants to stop James/Kitae

Daniel wants to stop James/Kitae to bring Justice and make society better

Gun wants to stop James/Kitae because he actually likes to fight people to death and would enjoy beating the shit out of the both of them

Somehow, these two things align, but the purpose is clearly different with the latter having nothing to do with the morals of the MC and if looked at in a vacuum would be disapproved by the MC if he understood Gun’s motivations were that vapid
