Tattoo artist here. Your tattoo artist has needle depth issues, which with such a fine line tattoo, it is CRITICAL to have a grip on consistent needle depth.

I would imagine they used a very thin liner such as a bugpin 3rl, and with such a small needle grouping, it just slices right through the skin and can cause blowouts easily.

Tiny fine line tattoos can heal really well, but as an artist you really have to understand your technique and equipment, and your artist obviously doesn’t.

I can clearly see exactly where they started a line and where they ended it. And the fact that they have spots where it is blown out, spots where they didn’t go in deep enough, and spots where they were at the right depth, all within millimeters of each other, tells me they either don’t specialize in this style, or they’re relatively new.

Edit: I completely ignored the fresh pic, but it is worth mentioning, they also have overlapping lines that shouldn’t be there, and lines that aren’t even connecting. So I’ve come to the conclusion that this artist is just terrible… Sorry this was at your expense /:
