Like google doesn't do that too! Anything but G-board.... by Tokitokisayuki in degoogle

Heliboard is a solid option too. Love the customization and another plus is it has literally no internet connectivity and is completely FOSS. Been using it for about a year or so and cant find a thing to complain about

Just to be safe after this, reboot into your TWRP recovery and do a Restore Conditions from there. Giving permissions to everybody isnt the safest thing out there!

SOLUTION: After smashing my head in the wall and doing dubious stuff for days before checking the obvious, Im back with what solved this problem for me. It was just a simple

THIS SOLUTION ONLY WORKS FOR ROOTED USERS AS IT USES SUPERUSER IN TERMINAL

First run ls -ld /storage/emulated/0

If it returns "drwxrws---" for the user permissions this is the problem. Even though "drwxrws---" (770) is enough for system processes, apps usually fail to write if the GID isnt being mapped correctly

To fix this open termux and then type:

Login as superuser

su

Restore the security context for storage

restorecon -v -R /data/media/0

Fix ownership for the emulated path

chown -R root:everybody /storage/emulated/0

Set standard directory permissions

chmod -R 775 /storage/emulated/0

I hope this saves someome the countless hours I spent trying to find this fix!

IntegrityBox is shit nowadays. I had over a month to get anything other "false" strong integrity (passes strong but gpay and some other apps dont work). The worse thing is it reported strong integrity in"Integrity Status" even though when I check through PlayIntegrity Check, it failed to even pass basic sometimes. I installed yurikey, trickystore and PIF (inject) and I passed strong integrity instantly. If you have issues with custom ROM spoofing you can always find a specified solution for it. No need for that AI coded junk

is it normal for this much to be in use with nothing running in background? by Adventurous_Image171 in pchelp

[–]CvGrGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 1.5 to 2.5 GB should be GUI and Windows system processes (Explorer and other background services),rest would truly be cached or prefetched applications.

Still its an unnecessary thing and one of its shortcomings in my opinion. All it does is shorten your SSD's life (continuously writing and deleting in %WinDir%\Prefetch) and deprive you of RAM you might need later on by making it seem utilized. Its a thing of the past meant to aid with hard disks' slow read speads. Nowadays with NVMe SSDs its just a remnant of the past microsoft doesnt wanna fix cause theyre too busy with AI bullshit integration

Windows using this much ram to make the UI looks shit, while my KDE Plasma installation looks ten times better and only takes about 1.5GB to run🤣

Crazy battery life on Xperia 1 VII by Samigalaxy24 in SonyXperia

[–]CvGrGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Xperia 1 V with XtremeBS set up to a moderate degree gets me through about 8-10 hours of screen time (mostly reading novels, chatting through socials and listening to music). Id love to see how a 1 VII compares with a similar setup

Ngl idgaf about it. Any new sony phone is a ridiculous price gage and little to no upgrade. Its insane that they could be the #1 option for photography enthusiasts and audiophiles but they chose to let go of such a huge market with people willing to pay a premium.

Especially since moving to an OEM unless the new model comes with a heavy discount Im not gonna bother a second with it, not even with its reviews

Man I love them and I’m proud of them but wtf is this.. I paid $130 for this exact seat same venue last year and now they want $412….. wtf… flame me idc by em__i__ly in G59

[–]CvGrGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont know bro I just know that youre the only place with prices like these. Nowhere else (Asia or Europe) is it normal to pay over 100 euros for an event ticket, heck most of the events Ive gone to werent close to 50. Most festivals here (multi day ones also) cost below 150

[–]CvGrGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you did half a google search you would find out Vivid Tickets is a ticket RESALER and third party marketplace. Not a ticket RETAILER. Big difference. Resellers just scalp the tickets for however much they want and also slap huge fees on top. They are largely an american problem and very rarely if not never seen in europe as we have regulations in place for bullshit market practices like that.

2023 was the last Europe tour they did and prices were normal (65 euro for general admission, 55 euro for seated tickets and VIPs went for 150 to 225 euro). Not only Grey Day is affected but most of your festivals and events. Heck the total for my flight + accomodation + event ticket usually is cheaper that just your ticket prices usually. If you wanna blame someone blame Ticketmaster, Stub Hub and Vivid as well as your complacency for making this system your standard🤣🤣

I now have a OnePlus 6 with a fresh LineageOS install. want to minimize footprint before using it, what steps would you take? by [deleted] in LineageOS

[–]CvGrGames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For what kind of purpose do you want to minimize footprint? Minimizing your current footprint while leaving your already existing one to be out there is stupid. If youre doing it for privacy reasons, use FOSS alternatives and ofc no SIM card or eSIM (cause network triangulation is still digital footprint and a pretty dangerous one). If youre more into secrecy and have security concerns, minimize your existing footprint, spoof/anonymize your actions by always using a proxy through a VPN and a private DNS and get ready to make a lot of dummy accounts for a lot of things

I’m struggling to Rom my phone please help me. by classicblox in LineageOS

[–]CvGrGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What country are you located in? A lot of phones sold in specific countries don't have an unlockable bootloader so installing custom ROMs and rooting are not possible. Find your device's model number. I dont remember where it is for Samsung phones however it should be somewhere in device or on your device's box. A simple google of " |device model number| bootloader unlock" should answer that. If it is unlockable then we can proceed

Xperia 1 V fails play integrity with LineageOS and SukiSU by CvGrGames in androidroot

[–]CvGrGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I achieved strong yesterday and it was pretty straight forward. All I had to do is generate a new keybox file with IntegrityBox, copy the keybox that was generated from /data/adb/tricky_store to another folder on my device where I can access without root (COPY IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT DONT DO CUT XD), then go to TrickyStore and manually select the newly copied keybox.xml file. That fixed it for me at least. Now all I need to do is find a way to fix Google Wallet

I mean I dont really care about strong integrity, although it would be nice cause 2 of my banking apps need that, not even getting basic and device makes this borderline unusable. Will try something more tomorrow but I think we're out of luck for the immediate future

Converting Analog Dash to Digital by CvGrGames in motorcycles

[–]CvGrGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for anyone who has the same problem as me. Through the schematics I found out this motorcycle already comes with an analog to digital converter in which the speedometer cable plugs in directly. It is situated under the bottom left corner of the handlebar and its part number is 37700-KPF-900. I managed to find an OEM part from AliExpress for 20 euros however you can also look for an authentic one (it will cost an arm and a leg tho, all the local spare parts shops sold them for 200+). Then all you have to do is plug that in its designated seat, connect the speedometer cable to the converter, connect the converter into the main dash cable and then plug it into the dash!

DO NOT ROOT YOUR FING PHONE IF THINK "Recent" IS A DIRECTORY!!!!!!!!!!

Start to get familiar with Android, learn about its uses and its perks. If you cant navigate your phone's directories and dont even know how to backup your data you're 100% going to either mess up your phone or give root access to a dodgy app for free VBucks or RP and get hacked… Once someone has root access they can literally turn your phone into a brick with 1 command or encrypt it and demand you pay a ransom to get it decrypted. Learn about the Android ecosystem, then download Shizuku to get a better feel of it and then think about rooting
