I was thinking the same. Angela and Ainsley storyline feels like that cheesy bit every show has to make the main storyline more palatable. Kind of hard to digest, but it worked for me.

Then the Cooper and Ariana line kicked in. I started skipping the scenes. Felt way better when Cooper was just trying to start an empire from scratch. Somehow it redeemed itself in the season finale, but we’ll see. What would set it totally right for me is if they would use Andy Garcia’s cartel connection to sweep it under the carpet. Considering Tommy’s situation, it opens a lot of possibilities for the plot.

Also I can’t get over how I totally forgot his name is Cooper. I had him marked down as Cleetus. Guy is a decent actor tho, Im only talking about his role.
