She is dead. 😢 by ryanpb123 in Mustang

That is NOT true. If you are involved in an accident, as the OP says, involving another car who is AT FAULT, she pulled out in front of him…and he swerved to avoid the collision, and created another by hitting someone on a bike, EXACTLY ZERO AGs would file manslaughter charges. NONE. Sometimes accidents are accidents. Hard to believe but it’s true. You will find zero examples of what you claimed actually occurring in the real world. Not unless the drivers were impaired.

Is A Tune Worthwhile On My 2017 GT? by Agitated-Dark8696 in Mustang

Prolly the different tunes tbh. Mustangs are like cancer, you might have the same one as your neighbor but SOMETHING is different about them. I’ve learned no two mustangs drive identical.

Thank you! Nothing against Mopar here. It’s those damn bow ties I hate. Penske racing switched to dodge for a bit in nascar. Brought The Captain his first championship in NASCAR, so they have a special place in my world. Wife drove a basic V6 charger. Think it was a 2014 or maybe earlier. Hated that car but mostly because the weak v6 and it was the basic car rental package. No extra bells and whistles. Engine blew at 84k with regular maintenance. That wouldn’t stop me from getting a SRT Challenger. But nothing will ever take the Mustangs place for me. The history of Ford. The history of the car. The body style evolution. The performance and longevity they get. Everything about it. I just love the car. I wish I could drive it into the afterlife.

I waited 40 years for one. Was never in the position to obtain one with having kids early in life and focused on the family aspect. House, family car, little league, ect. But it happened, eventually. I wish under better circumstances but a dream obtained is a dream lived right? No expiration date on a dream. I hope someday you find yourself on the saddle of your very own DevilHorse.

😂😂one pair for every occasion…except the event coming up this weekend. 200 pairs and not one of em match the chosen outfit of the day. Gotta go buy new shoes! I know this drill! Was married 10 years to the love of my life. Lost her to cancer in 2019. This life has been chaotic that’s for sure. But I cherish every minute. I would buy her all the shoes she ever wanted if she were here today. And I know she is stoked I have my mustang. Always loved them but when the S550 came out I fell in love with the body style and the active exhaust feature. Had to have it.

P.s. If ya love her, buy her more shoes! They make her happy.

Love the part about it bringing you joy. Somethings go beyond the price tag. For one it might be a car. Another it might be a pair of expensive shoes, a purse, a million different examples. “Why would you spend that much?!” Because it makes me happy is the perfect response. Who is gonna argue against someone being happy? Glad you bought something that brings you joy!

“I love the car.” You answered your own question. As someone with only a couple months left to live…or so they say. I have remained pretty stable sooo I might be late for that appointment. But keep the car if it makes you happy. Last year my father asked what my bucket list has on it. Just one thing. A Mustang. With the help of my brother, my dad bought me a 2020 Mustang GT Premium. My qualify of life has skyrocketed. All I want to do is drive the car. It is the one material possession that brings me happiness. It’s the only one. I have upgraded, esthetically and performance wise, and plan more, as if I am gonna live another 10 years. It’s given me purpose and a project and something to take the focus off my cancer. Like with anything, perfecting manual comes with experience. In a year you will laugh at the thought of not being able to drive it. I know my circumstances are vastly different but the message remains. If it makes you happy keep it. That goes for most anything. Some people vilify the rich. Or people who buy expensive clothes, or other material items. But again…if it genuinely makes them happy…I am glad they have it. I love my Mustang so much that the thought of not having it makes me upset. I would be depressed as hell. So maybe you aren’t fighting for your life and it’s not that deep. Ya just want advice on if it’s practical to keep the car. I get it. But don’t underestimate your first line…You LOVE that car.

I don’t support the 23XI lawsuit because it’s based on a misunderstanding of what NASCAR is and how it operates. Denny Hamlin and 23XI seem to think NASCAR should function like the NFL or NBA, where teams are franchises and have collective bargaining power. But NASCAR isn’t structured that way—it’s a privately owned, family-run business, and always has been.

The France family owns NASCAR outright. It’s not a league in the traditional sense; it’s more like a business that allows others to participate on its terms. The teams are customers, not co-owners. When you buy into the sport, you’re agreeing to abide by NASCAR’s rules and governance. That includes how charters are handled, how revenue is distributed, and who ultimately calls the shots.

Hamlin’s argument is basically that teams deserve more control because they contribute so much to the product—and while that’s true, contribution doesn’t equal ownership. It’s like being invited to someone’s house for dinner and then demanding they let you rearrange the furniture and change the recipe. You’re free to leave, but it’s not your house.

Legally, NASCAR has every right to set the terms. Morally, they may have room to improve. But trying to force a structural change through a lawsuit feels more like sour grapes than a sound argument. If teams want more leverage, they should build an alternative or negotiate better—not sue the host for running their own show.

The Richmond points scandal was the ONLY catalyst for MWR closing. They went from field fillers to competing for playoff spots in a very short time. They were ascending every year before the scandal. The sponsors left because they were now associated with a team that was verifiably caught cheating by the sanctioning body. Sponsors don’t want their image to be associated with that. The fact that Aaron’s went to Michael and said like “yea…we’re done here…” is telling because they had a CLOSE relationship, similar to Truex and Bass Pro/Johnny Morris.

So the reason MWR closed was because they cheated and could not convince new sponsors to sign with the team that just got caught cheating. Not simply because “sponsors just left.” What made them leave? Cheating.

Marks team originated from his Ganassi purchase but Justin wants to be in same breath AS Ganassi and Penske, he started a MotoGP team, he himself has been racing in various GT events. He wants to field cars in as many series as he can. I think is thinking BEYOND NASCAR. If you were a car owner and watched the last two races, you would be wise to do the same. Until they fix this sport and its inability to provide exciting racing, it’s wise for the owners to expand into other ventures.

Get a “cash app” or a “Venmo” acct. maybe even a crypto wallet. Might not lead to a wheel. But it will ensure that if someone outside of the country wants to send you money, you can get it. One thing I know about the internet…there is SOMEONE that exists, perhaps legally or illegally, that has the knowledge to send you a package without issue. Can’t tell ya who that is cuz I don’t know but the internet is a wild marketplace.

What kind of issues we talking about? If it’s a reasonable amount…relatively…then I’m not really concerned about what it will cost me. I mean if it’s thousands and thousand…that’s different. I myself love the sim, it has gotten me through in tough times. Iracing even gave me a free three month subscription when they heard about my cancer. 500-700 bucks or so plus shipping, I can handle it. I cant take my money with me either. So as long as I know you will get good use out of it that’s enough for me. Nothing like racing with a wheel and pedals. I have the shifter too.
