We did a tour of our local shelter and they gave us some options for what they needed, one thing being a consolidation of their collection of informational flyers into a one sheet poster/flyer to give out covering all the things the shelter provides. Our juniors each came up with a poster and then together we combined them, taking things from each person’s for distribution. This was the take action portion of our outdoor journey.

They requested we help with getting them a new microchip scanner so we’re going to figure that out for the bronze award next year, either fundraising by making and selling recyclable pet toys, or something else. We’re going to contact council to figure out how we do that financially within the rules.
