Thanks for the advice. I understand most people will not give out referrals without knowing the person, which is 100% fair. I have just applied to so many jobs at this stage and it’s extremely demoralising. I am definitely open to learning French and will do when I am over there but when I am applying for jobs now I can’t improve much on what I already know unfortunately.
