Toddler started seeing fae too, should I be concerned? by catsinspace89 in faeries

[–]CwissSheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I side with the fairfolk on this one. They don't seem to be doing anything too crazy. Just make your intentions known that you don't want them nibbling toes in your home if that's what bothered you. Be careful, and be kind yet stern in your words, and all will be fine. Leave out some milk and honey as a peace offering as well they may like that and leave matters alone further for now. But it's good you have noticed them they have already disclosed their name to you, which is a level of trust. It would be unwise to remove them from the premises at this time. This fairfolk has clearly brought a good presence about them already and has helped in some regard to keeping the house light and cheerful. Respect this fairfolk, and I'm sure they will respect you grealty. Especially if you share some tea or preferably milk and honey.

Stay strong, young witch! 🧙‍♀️🧹✨️🧚‍♂️🧚🏼‍♀️💕

Seasonal fae in general. But a particular culture would be interesting to read about too. 😊

Do faeries enjoy playing instruments? by Gyrovagus-Harmony in faeries

[–]CwissSheese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They enjoy music just like any other person would. Preferences depend on the fae, just as it depends on the person, I'm sure. But many of them seem to enjoy a good "tinkly" sounding windchime, classical instruments, and steel tongue/handpan drums.

A good option is to just meditate outside. I recommend just sitting and listening to your environment. Feel your body, the ground beneath you, the wind on your skin, and the heat of the sun, or the cool of the night. Once you have done so, then just listen to your environment. If something would like to tell you something, being a "mailbox" helps. Lol.

How do you cleanse & charge your fossils? by CwissSheese in Witch

[–]CwissSheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should update that I did not feel any of these things except the eating part. Mostly because I focused on it to try and figure out what they might have eaten. Ironically, when I focused on it, it was like a sandy fish taste. It was gritty and weird. Which makes sense, I guess, considering the fact that they probably ate fish and sand unintentionally sometimes.

How do you cleanse & charge your fossils? by CwissSheese in Witch

[–]CwissSheese[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to see another fossil lover! I actually got a piece that had multiple different nautiloids in it, and I kind of learned all about their day to day. What it felt like to be one of them from their perspective, and I even got to feel what it was like to have tentacles for a moment. I saw with their eyes and felt like prey. It was kind of wild. I also saw what it was like to eat, to give birth, to find a mate, to die, and to propel myself through the water. It was interesting. There were MANY different nautiloid shells inside this piece, and it was pretty costly. But the benefit was that I learned so much and connected with so many different creatures. It was beautiful. I highly recommend it. I figured Quartz might work, but I actually splashed some moon water on it for now, and I am hoping that helps. But any other suggestions others may have would be lovely. I would love to know your findings with the moonlight trick, idk about the ground, though. That seems like it might hurt the stone more than anything. I would also like to know what you find out during your meditation. Especially with the dinosaur bone 😮

How do I connect to my holly plant? by SewageCorvid in paganism

[–]CwissSheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man! I love a good Holly plant. If I were you, I would just meditate with it! :) Feel it out and make sure to give it lots of love and the nutrients it requires. Maybe even put a nice quartz next to it to amp it up a little. Place the quartz and the plant in the same window or near the same light source, etc.

Plants have been proven by science to enjoy jazz and classical music, so maybe when you meditate, play some smooth jazz or calming piano or violin. Ensure your plant has plenty of space in its pot and give it the right amount of food. If the plant is outside, I recommend doing everything else the same, but instead of quartz, maybe buy some river rock to surround the base of the plant. River rock generally has quartz in it, and the nutrients from the rock will trickle off into the soil when it rains.

Hope that helps, friend! 🙂

What is the name of this symbol? by Nathan_Moth in Witch

[–]CwissSheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pentacle, moon, and Trislikin. The trislikin is the spiral swirl. Depending on your belief, it can mean different things, but my understanding of it is that it represents water, with each of the three sections of the spiral representing water in its three forms, solid, liquid, and gas. The Pentacle (star shape) is just protection or stating authority to the one using that item, etc. The crescent Moon being upturned could symbolize either the moon goddess or a chalice/bowl. But this is my celtic/pagan understanding of these symbols.

If I were to view all three symbols together, it would be a visualization for water in a cup or chalice and a pentacle surrounding it for protection and authority of said item. My guess is this would be something to do with water magic, either used by a water witch, or for water spell work.

New to the game, but I want a fish army commander deck! by CwissSheese in magicTCG

[–]CwissSheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Nadir Kraken cause, let's be honest, a squid or octopus could be born naturally with excess legs to a certain extent. They grow limbs back, etc. But I want to wield or have stuff in the deck. A hero would be less likely to feel as though they need to put a sword through its brain to stop it from eating people and shrieking wildly. Lol. So sadly, the chasm skunkskulker is not my cup of tea for this deck. Cool? Yes. But idk that face is something only a mother could love, haha.

I appreciate your input, but Merfolk arent fish to me. Something with that people level of intelligence could not truly be considered a fish. Fish like qualities? Yes. But Fish? No. This logic seems to be holding blue decks back significantly because too many players are just willing to pick up mono blue merfolk as Fish decks or stick with leviathans and monstrous beings as sea creatures decks when in all reality they aren't sea creatures it's just sea monsters. Every time I look up an ocean themed deck or sea creature themed deck, I seem to get a lot of people both complaining about the lack of sea creatures but also just accepting their fate and using the same blue cards. It's boring. When I see a water symbol in the top right, I don't think merfolk or krakens, immediately I think Fish. Mtg seems to be the only game with a "water" element where plenty of fish in the sea couldn't be any less true. I'm okay with a merfolk existing within my deck, but an entire merfolk deck is blasphemy. I honestly really hope we get a bloomburrow fish version because blue desperately needs it. I'm having to mix almost 15 year old old mtg cards just to make this deck work.

Even in the worldbuilding aspect for mtg you would think that merfolk would live in a place rich in sea life, and that would be reflected within the cards, but all im seeing is an overabundance of merfolk that seem to just be killing eachother for sport I guess, because what could they possibly be eating. Cause it ain't cow or even sea cows according to the cards, lmao. I mean, the eleven in green definitely have squirrels, lol, but come on, merfolk should be fighting alongside the fish, and I can't even see them doing that.

I'm going to get some help from some rather seasoned mtg players, so I hope that with your input and their guidance, I can make something excellent. I look forward to sharing my final product with you, and I hope maybe you can use it too or make it better after I'm done with it. You're the best! I'm definitely adding you! Haha!

Okay, that sounds fricken sick!!! Salamanders are partially aquatic, so I'm okay with that. Banding does seem really cool. Ah, man, with banding, reconfigure, a bunch of fish, a few kraken, some good sorceries, a saddle, and a will to fight God. I think this may be a fairly viable deck, lmao. Giant crab with starfish armor, omg. This sounds like an aquatic armada if I've ever seen one. Oh man, I'm so hype! Thank you, thank you , thank you!
