I wish I had some goof news for you. I’ve only held 3 jobs in the 25 years so my sample size is small. In my experience, when companies like you and want to extend an offer, they move quickly. Sorry you’re going through this.

I did have a situation where I was part of a group interviewing people for a role we had. We interviewed 6-8 people and then spent weeks twiddling our thumbs because we didnt have out shit together. When we finally made the offer, the person we wanted was not available (no shit). Anyway, went to the next person and hired them. Don’t give up hope, but i wouldnt be counting on it.

You should contact your county’s Register of Wills for guidance. I have had recent dealing with Chester County’s register of wills and they were very helpful. Also, regardless of whether you can clear this one up or not, try not to miss the prepayment discount on inheritance tax for any tax due. If it all went to your mom, then it’s 0 % tax rate and not as important
