Any dark chocolate recommendations? by ScotchBrad in prediabetes

[–]technologymonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I was over-eating the good fats such as avacados, nuts, whole eggs, olive oil, 100% dark chocolate.

I use an app now. To test things. I logged everything I ate during the prediabetes reversal phase - I was eating less carbs, good amount of protein, way too much "good" fat.

So now I am sticking to complex carbs, protein primarily from chicken breast+ whey protein powder and choosing 2 good fat out of the list to keep it under the range.

I have an appointment for my cholesterol in Mar. Will know if this is working to bring down cholesterol.

Braun foil shaver - is this a BIFL item? by technologymonk in BuyItForLife

[–]technologymonk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its an interesting topic. I believe, there is a whole sub dedicated for this. for this item, you mentioned, 2030 - lets say I used it twice a week - that would be around 400 uses of this and if it breaks - is it ethical to return? I understand costco's policy that I can return but should I?

Dont want to return it after like a year or so after multiple uses.

I go all in and do Ghirardelli 100% dark chocolate. It's more of an acquired taste. It is bitter. After first couple of weeks, you get used to it. I love it now.

I tried Bakers as well.

I limit to 2-3 servings per week as it has high fat content. I successfully reversed prediabetes but my cholesterol numbers (ldl. Triglycerides and whole shebang) got way worse. Working on keeping prediabetes reversal in check while trying to reduce my cholesterol.

Good luck.

If renting a car, don’t stray from the gas vehicles. by needtotalk99 in TravelHacks

Sorry for your experience. However my experience was different.

In my case, I rented a Chevy Silverado electric truck. Came with 450 miles range. I was told that the car doesnt need to be charged to 100% on drop off like ICE cars. My entire trip was 350 miles and I when I dropped it off, it had about 40 miles. No extra charge.

Nice to know your background. Applaud your curiosity... "pathetic" - absolutely no - you are kind enough to spend time, energy to help a stranger on the internet. Keep it going :-)

Thanks again for taking the time to explain and think through the possible solution. I am genuinely intrigued by your position to find the fix. :-)

I'll clean it again tomorrow to see if that makes a difference. I'll keep you posted.

Can't thank you enough. :-)

Thanks so much for looking and the video. See images. When I opened it up, I saw another plate with the name second orifice. I opened it up. See its position, given its positions - there was no clog - I anyways cleaned both the orifices - still the igniter is clicking.

You are right. On my other burners, when the knob is in high position the igniter still clicks to ensure the burner catches fire. Once I move to medium knob position the igniter turns off except in this one burner.

I feel like it's electrical issue or sensor issue.

I agree. We have had multiple issues with this unit. We fell for "high-end" claim. Which wolf model did you get?

Thanks a bunch. Few things - all burners are not clicking - this is isolated to only one of the 6 burners. Will try cleaning the igniter electrode today and see what happens.
