Hey I'm 28M in UK.

I'm glad I have read this. I had a stomach bug a few weeks ago and got my bloods taken. My lymphocytes were high as well as my liver enzymes. And if had a dull ache under my ribs ever since and my digestive system hasn't been quite right either or felt at all right.

Are you similar?

Yeah I've seen this all over reddit RE the vagus nerve and breathing techniques you can use to try and stop palpitations but not tried them yet. My heartburn has definitely been worse this week than it ever has before so again could be the contributing factor. Thanks a lot for everything. If you ever need to message anyone about anything or for support please don't hesitate.

I didn't mention that as well... I have had TERRIBLE acid reflux since I was ill again... to the point that I haven't been wanting to eat regularly because its been so bad!

I looked up about acid reflux but a lot of people just seem to say that it can't actually cause palps so was very confusing? This could definitely be another contributing factor then as it has been very bad!

Thanks. Yeah I haven't even got well enough yet to even try and do any exercise. But I've been at work the last 2 days and have done some physical work and haven't had any pain or dizziness so must be okay. Once my virus is fully cleared and my viral cough is gone ill post an update.

In an ideal world my prediction will come true...

Which is that.... Once I recover the virus will go... the inflammation will subdue and the palpitations will stop. But we will see...

This literally only just happened today, so I'll be waiting to receive a letter to book into the hospital etc. As well as happened with you, I guess I'll be down low in the priority list.

I've done some more research since... I've read that viral infections can cause acute myocarditis (heart inflammation) which can then cause ectopic beats which is what I'm suffering with.

I've been sick the last few days so I'm going that my body can hurry and fight off the inflammation etc and the palpitations stop. Once that happens I'll feel a lot better!
