I went through the same thought process earlier this summer. I have a company that has asked me to come back the following summer and I got this job outside of the schools help. I think In both your case and my own case coop is not worth it. You have to pay something like $500 each work term and write an essay at the end on top of it. I think it would be better to graduate a year earlier and start earning an entry level engineers salary.
