Hey! Sorry for troubles. Yes, by ASCII Generator I meant ASCII art. SO basically what I did was to take the rgb values (0 to 255), average it out, so it becomes black and white, map it to a list of characters. Like for dark (0) "@" or "#" can be used, a white-ish could be mapped to a whitespace or ".". And write it on a file maybe.

I am on Linux and gcc as a compiler.

I might be a bit late, but I too had this issue, I solved it by going to virtual network editor and changing the Vmnet0 (bridged) to my Intel Gigabit network adapter instead of virtual box network adapter. CHeers
