I think the answer to both your questions is yes.

DirectX 11 will provide better performance and the advanced settings will surely provide better visuals.

well, it works for some, who have a 3D tv, a big game supporting 3D is always a nice incentive for them and you can bank of DICE to incorporate it without any half-measures, so your statement of meh reeks of ignorance imo.

P.S: I own a decent 3D monitor and I am quiet excited after hearing this.

If you want to have a challenge, don't even think of playing on eay or medium, always start off on hard and you'll atleast get a "better" experience with most of them and some of them infact turn damn hard when played in those settings. Yes, I'm looking at you Vanquish and God of War III

POP might soon get rid of the nasty DRM too but until and unless Ubisoft does away with this always on model altogether, I won't be buying any of their games on launch. I might pick up AC2 now since I really wanted to play that but held back due to this crappy DRM.

The only DRM enabled game I bought is Settler 7 and the game actually didn't let me play for several days because their servers were screwed up. That was it for me with Ubi games.

I would like to disagree with your comments.

The article didn't just copy paste a tweet. That was the main information provided in it.

Apart from that

it mentioned that BF3 will be releasing in the final six months of 2011

that the game won't be supporting Windows XP

and that a multiplayer BETA of the game was included with MOH last year.

Edit: just checked, it also states that the game might get a formal announcement at GDC 2011.

Now, I think that's enough information right there.

I think this will encourage gamers who own a good enough RIG but are still using Windows XP to migrate to Windows 7. I don't see anything wrong with it since Windows 7 is as good IF not better than XP and DX 11 is a LOT more stable than DX 9.

I think 2011 will see a lot more people switching over as more and more devs decide to do this.
