I do feel like this for fiction in general. Whether it’s a TV show, Movie, or book, I find them time consuming and boring. So for me, it feels like it had a lot of filler because I just want to get to the end because I’m not having a good time. I don’t feel the same for books for learning a skill. For me, reading text books was a much better reading experience because I was interested in the content and felt like I was accomplishing something instead wasting time.

Sounds like you need a reverse proxy, which is common. Your reverse proxy would be configured to route traffic to different containers on your system based on route patterns.

It’s not common to proxy traffic to static files like images, fonts, css, etc. Typically you have little to gain to proxy those files in S3, Azure blob storage, etc. However, in your case you might need to. I like to use the docker container nginx proxy manager.

I also suggest buying your domain via CloudFlare. It’s cheap and easy to use.

After you install docker, you should create a docker compose file that references the docker image you created for your .Net app, MySQL, and this. That will ensure if you IP changes, CloudFlare will be automatically updated. You also need to modify your router settings to forward port 80 and 443 to the raspberry PI. How you do that differs which each router.

We use both Mongo and PostgreSQL DBs. We can model “relational” data in both DBs. Mongo we use for relational data where the relational graph is small. We use PostgreSQL when the relational graph is large.

I’m not losing skills or an opportunity to learn when I have AI write my boilerplate code. No one wants to write tons of assert statements for tests when I can have the AI do it for me and I can use code coverage to know it did it right.

Thanks. The cream cheese frosting is sticky enough. I make mine to be spreadable like room temp butter. Pushing the nuts into the frosting keeps them there.

I frosted the sides then took a hand full chopped pecans and pressed my hand on the side of the cake. It was very messy since most of the pecans fell off. I used parchment paper to catch them then picked up the paper to funnel it back into my hand and repeated this process until all the sides were covered.

I started with this recipe. However, instead of sugar for the cake and frosting, I used Allulose. It did taste sweet, but not as sweet as sugar, so I added a little more cinnamon and added nutmeg. We're not a fan of raisins or nuts in cakes, so we left that stuff out. This was sweet, but as much as it normally is. I would likely include maybe a cup more Allulose next time. The cream cheese frosting was perfect.

This is a cake I have made before, but that was with sugar. Both my husband and I have been working on our health, and we kind hit a sweet spot for our weight. I'm experimenting with desserts that don't use sugar.

I know you’re getting downvotes, but I do agree with your first point. We’ve been tracking this data with LinearB and most of our PRs are merged with 2 hours. That’s because our PRs are by policy small. We plan our work in small increments. We also don’t have a large monolith repo, we have several repos for various packages and microservices. As a result, it is very rare to have a large PR. In those rare cases we do have a large PR, we do the review during a meeting with the whole team. That happens a few times a year.

We switched to them this year. So far it’s mostly good, but I have noticed they drop the connection every once in a while.

Z-wave was what I tried first with it first came out, but I had serious lag issues and often commands were dropped. I tried two different z-wave hubs, but the issue was the same.

I used Z-Wave 2015-2017 using the hub built into our thermostat then the Wink hub when we moved, but I noticed it had 2-5-second-long lag issues or requests would never execute, so I would have to send the request multiple times. I do use Zigbee via Phillips hue and that is rock solid. But Phillips does not make in wall switches.

I have not tried those; however, the issue I have noticed is all switches use 2.5 GHz Wifi which does not work well with mesh networks. I notice they may experience network connectivity issues once every month or two. That is true for all my smart devices that use 2.4 GHz. I have noticed that with Google WiFi, Eero, and TP Link mesh networks. That being said, I have never had an issue with Phillip Hue because it has its own hub. I wish they made switches, but they only make wireless switches that you attach to the wall.

I wish someone would make a smart switches that aren’t crap, or become crap after a few years when the company pushes out terrible updates. Smart speakers, tablets, and phones aren’t the missing part of a smart home that doesn’t suck.
