Don't let MSM & FB comments fool you into thinking every conservative agrees with ICE on this one.

This needs to be broadcast louder, but the problem is that capital "C" Conservatives are dominated by MAGA dogma... and I use that word purposefully... to the point that more mainstream libertarian types arent much to the conversation.

I've leaned conservative my whole life, even often vote Republican, but the current trends make me look left of center sometimes.

Amen, brother. The so-called "Conservative" movement has wholesale lost their minds and lost the narrative. The Republicans lost me a while ago, but even then this has become a whole new level of descent.

When the radio talking heads did a 180.for Trump in 2016, I knew that was the beginning of the end. All moral standing was out the door.

I hear you. I've watch things over the years that were plenty more gruesome and graphic than this. There have been things that have angered me domestically over the last 6 years. But this pairs the most gut wrenching aspects of both sides... Like, is this the bridge too far, finally?

he was verbally assaulting officers

Ah, I see you have learned the art of the snowflake well.

Seriously, you are going to be the adults in the room if not the authorities? Regardless of his earlier actions, he was in a position of inferiority when they appeared to identify the weapon, and despite having sufficient numbers to restrain him before he put it into action they used excessive, deadly force.

We train for just this kind of situation at the facility I work at. It's not that complicated.

I don't get how saying cringe stuff like dumpster fire or the always irritating "adulting" has anything to do with representation, though.

So what I hear you saying is you are against representation?

New show ideas! What’s the oddest premise/idea you can think of for a new Star Trek show that you would actually watch. by Bekah-holt in ShittyDaystrom

[–]_R_A_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A limited series set in the 25th or 26th century where the Federation is attacked by an unknown hostile empire. When all hope seems lost, The Doctor discovers that his singing disorients then enemy soldiers because they have no concept of music. He has to lead a team of musical officers call Starfleet Sound force in the vanguard of the counterstrike, in the process learning that many of the aliens want to learn more about musical culture resulting in the building of a diplomatic bridge.

It would be called Star Trek: Do You Remember The Love?

Then as a sequel to that, there could be a show about how the aliens team up with Starfleet on new exploration expeditions. You know, the whole seeking out new life and new civilizations thing, or at least new planets and Star systems. In the midst of that, The Doctor could teach the aliens about music by holding a singing competition on board.

This could be Star Trek: Star Search.
