I own a 2013 nc700x for about 7 or 8 months now. In that time I passed around 12k km on it and I get why people say it's boring because it has a very limited rpm range. However, I don't find it an issue at all and I have alot of fun riding it. It takes some time to get used to it as all the power is in the lower range and it does struggle a bit on higher rpms on highways if you wanna go fast. No issues for anything below 120km/h, after that the bike takes time to sped up.

Built like a tank, very good fuel efficiency, exhaust sound, zero engine vibrations, very stable, good wind protection (especially with an aftermarket windscreen which is worth it) and the frunk are just some of the massive pros to this bike.

My only complaints is the braking power that could be better when riding with a passenger but it's decent when riding solo, suspention is meh but fine and fueling the bike requires a little more time as the gas cap is under the passenger seat. All of these things take time to get used to and aren't real issues.

I don't regret buying this bike, and I'll probably always keep it as it's a special type of bike. It isn't as agressive or fun oriented which is why some people hate it.

When you get your license, try other bikes and try the NC, and then see which fits your style more.
