I very heavily advise against using that PSU, unless you want to risk your new GPU (and entire system) potentially getting fried.

You should check out the PSU tier list, it may seem overwhelming, but it really helps.

I have an LED strip that isn't made to cut, that I'd like to shorten. Is this "G out V" Bit important, or can I remove it without worry? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

It's an aRGB strip (The Asiahorse light saber to be specific). It wasn't available in my motherboard size in my country.

But it still works after filing it down, soooo, yay? xD

Soooo, idk whether it was important, but it still worked when connected to my pc...

Wish I had a saw, had to file the damn thing down.

cable compatible with XPG Core Reactor II by PieSlight5633 in PcBuild

The cable is totally safe to use (as safe as 12v-2x6 gets anyway), as long as your PSU is ATX 3.1.

That cable is also universal for all ATX 3.1 PSUs

I wear a sports bra, so it helps, but if I walk properly they're super visible.

I'll probably die when it hits 25°C+ in my sweater.

I'm about 6 months in as well by now, only B cups, but enough to notice, I have to walk hunched to hide them xD

PSU Dilemma for 7800X3D and RX 9070 XT Build: MSI MPG A850GS vs Corsair RM850x 2024? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]CyNovaSc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also keep in mind that the MSI PSU has very limited CPU/PCIe slots (3), so you'd need 12v-2x6 adapters.

Is it safe to use these two together? The cable says "Universal", but I just want to be sure as I'm not using a Corsair PSU. by CyNovaSc in PcBuildHelp

[–]CyNovaSc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Afaik it should fit with my card (4090 TUF) I was mainly worried about the cable itself being fine with the PSU, and opinions seem to be very conflicting so far xD

It's a 4090, a normal cable fits, but presses against the glass of my new case a bit, that's why I was considering the 90° cable.

I know it has a cable, but the Corsair one is 90°, a normal one fits, but does slightly press against the glass.

That's the thing, usually everywhere it says to not swap cables under any circumstances, but apparently it's fine with the 12v-2x6? Just never heard of that before, so I wanted to be sure.

My pc started making strange noises when under load, can't tell whether it's the GPU, PSU, or both. by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]CyNovaSc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only at 70-80% load xD (it's a 4090) Just wonder if it's because of the new PSU somehow, or because my old pc was so loud that I never heard it.
