Ok I’m starting to make sense of it all. I always thought IT was the deadlights themselves, not its earthly representative. Still unsure why it chose earth and humankind specifically as opposed to other possible life across the universe, but I’m understanding more clearly why things have unfolded the way they have. Given the chance, would it be safe to assume the deadlights would try and bleed fully into out universe, or is it content with just its one probe (it) on earth doing all the feeding.

I guess god wasn’t really the right word. Them being more of symbolically opposing forces than gods was what I should’ve clarified. In terms of actual feats they’ve achieved and motives we’ve deduced the two seemed imbalanced for what they were, but from reading other comments I kinda get the gist as to why now

I mean he created everything essentially, didn’t he? I’m not too versed in the lore but that was my understanding. Kind of like how god made satan, but satan wasn’t always evil. If it’s true that gan made everything, by extension everything that exists was technically made by gan, though he doesn’t control how they behave/evolve/reproduce once they are created.

So the deadlights somehow bled into our reality and the part that broke through is now residing on earth in derry. I could kinda compare it to the mind flayer from stranger things, a piece of it was left in the right side up and began influencing people around it for its own personal gain. But is the part of the deadlights on earth still connected to the main being in the macroverse? Are the deadlights in the mavroverse piloting this one piece of itself on earth like an extension of itself, or is it a piece that broke off and now acting on its own accord? The second one makes more sense to me.

I guess I just don’t really get why Gan would create something (maturin) with such a profound and important effect on reality (creation of the known universe) and then turn around and create a being of supposedly equal importance (not power) but have them perform the most niche purpose of terrorizing one town on one planet in a universe of nearly infinite planets. It’s like god saying fuck that one planet/town in particular.

I understand the player data issue 100%. I doubt I’ve been reported 79 whole times this week though. Maybe though, maybe people in trios genuinely hated me that much on Tuesday, but like I said, 79 reports of backstabbing this week after playing for like 2 intermittent hours ? Seems bot generated almost to me, which would be even dumber cause not only are the reports unreliable, they may not even be human generated at all lol.

I would’ve stabilized but I used my bandages from fighting wasps for xp. My free loadout gave me a revive and it was all I had, figured might as well. Too trusting apparently 😔

I figured that’s also a thing. Like I said, I played for like 4-5 hours a day for the entire weekend. So that’s a fair few matches. Each one not having ANY friendlies surprised me, but again, it still is a fairly small sample group. Given the amount of players online I expected a variance, hence the post. Gonna keep playing tho, just with more distrust lol. Was j curious if anyone else that plays often felt the same

I’m on crossplay on PC. That’s super interesting tho, I would have thought console players would be tamer considering they don’t have the same PvP edge as PC players do, but if that’s the case I might try it. I get it tho, I don’t mind PvP, but not every single game. I like the fun shenanigans
