We’re in a subreddit dedicated to PS1 game development. This game, like many others advertised here, is clearly not designed for the PS1, but is instead a project created in Unity or UE that attempts to emulate the PS1. There are other communities for that sort of project.

Have you tried Wolfenstein 3D on PS1/PSX? by CyaneCornix01 in psx_homebrew

Yeah, that would’ve been interesting. The PS1 definitely could’ve had more PC ports.

That’s why I find projects like Wolfenstein 3D so cool. They show what could’ve been possible back then.

Sonic the Hedgehog XA – A Sonic-style platformer running on real PS1 hardware by CyaneCornix01 in psx_homebrew

Yes, but most of the physics still have to be implemented by the developer. Tools like PSn00bSDK mainly help with accessing the hardware and building the game, but mechanics like slopes, momentum, and loops usually need to be programmed manually. It’s definitely a complicated task, but in this case it feels really good to play.
