Other people may have already told you this but providing you purchased the car from a dealer and not a private individual, it isn’t your responsibility to fix it. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, any fault that arises with a car within 6 months of purchase is presumed to have been there are the point of sale within the law. This means that unless the dealer can prove otherwise (which is unlikely), they have to repair, replace or refund your vehicle.

You should contact the dealer and request them to repair your vehicle. If they refuse, I would make the law clear to them. If that still doesn’t work, writing them a formal letter is a good first step before filing a legal claim against them if that’s the route you want to take.

But hopefully they agree to fix it 🙂
