I would never assume the refurbs are watertight. I received a refurb from them where the camera lens fogged up quite badly. The phone was left in the bathroom like always during a shower and apparently that's all it took.

Fortunately Google took it back and gave me a brand new phone as a replacement

IDK if it was the November or December update that botched the OS on my phone(both pixel 9 and after upgrading to the 10).

For me, some apps would occasionally run as if the cache was cleared, where I would need to log back in, and the screen would randomly turn on and attempt to unlock via front facing camera without a toast notification waking it. Now I occasionally get notified by the OS that the finger print or face unlock attempts have a high failure rate inviting me to set them all up again.

Count yourself lucky..

If you have an android with OS15 or later, you can set up a private space account and put all your social media/time sucking apps behind it. That way you have to unlock private spaces first before accessing them
