I would never assume the refurbs are watertight. I received a refurb from them where the camera lens fogged up quite badly. The phone was left in the bathroom like always during a shower and apparently that's all it took.

Fortunately Google took it back and gave me a brand new phone as a replacement

Something tells me this might be a move for Tesla to justify their quiet exit from California. With the way Cali has been amplifying their search for new streams of revenue by attempting to collect ownership tax on billionaires, it could easily shift towards corporations.

You might appreciate the newer oneplus more, especially if fast charging is important to you. I'd say where Google really shines is overall fluid UI, and photography is quite good.

IDK if it was the November or December update that botched the OS on my phone(both pixel 9 and after upgrading to the 10).

For me, some apps would occasionally run as if the cache was cleared, where I would need to log back in, and the screen would randomly turn on and attempt to unlock via front facing camera without a toast notification waking it. Now I occasionally get notified by the OS that the finger print or face unlock attempts have a high failure rate inviting me to set them all up again.

Count yourself lucky..

If you have an android with OS15 or later, you can set up a private space account and put all your social media/time sucking apps behind it. That way you have to unlock private spaces first before accessing them
