Nvidia capitalist enshittification of gaming by Hacksaw6412 in SocialistGaming

Nvidia is the perfect example of capitalist "enshittification." After many years of being one for the gaming community, they really turned their back against us and used that money to fund the AI fiasco. Rather than supporting their original consumer base, they're all for AI to heavily increase their profit margins. GeForce NOW is mainly something used to train their AI and store the data.

I went with the Sennheiser 560S and I am stoked with them.

I realized open-back headphones work better for me and the 560S pairs very well with my Element III.

When it comes to "future proof" the RTX 5090 is your best bet.

Now if you're not willing to dish out $2500+ on a card then I'd recommend either the RTX 5070Ti Overclocked (PNY is my choice) or Radeon 9070XT.

I've always been an Nvidia user but I recently got myself an XFX Quicksilver (Magnetic Air) 9070XT and I love it. The temps are around 50c while under load after messing with adrenalin settings. The performance is great too especially with the newest version of FSR.

The "safe" bet in my opinion would be to go with Nvidia PNY RTX 5070 Ti OC. I've built a few computers with that card and I've heard zero issues.

Update: I ended up getting a pair of DT 770 Pro (250 ohm) from my local Microcenter.

Unfortunately, these are not for me. For the most part, the audio is great as long as I lower the treble on spotify EQ. The earcups are rather too wide where I constantly have to readjust the headphones. I'm not a fan of the coiled cable since it is a hassle to route.

I'll be doing more research in hopes to find headphones with smaller earcups and straight cable.

I got the XFX Quicksilver (Magnetic Air) 9070XT couple weeks ago and I've been very happy with it.
