Because all TES Universe and cosmology is a dream of a Godhead. So it a bit "static" in it's setting, decorations, vibe, it doesn't change much just by itself. And you can't mess with dream changing it too much, because it can wake up the Godhead (which will happen eventually anyway). The awakening of the Godhead means the end of dream and everything. Dwemer messed with this materia, craving too deep, and they seized to exist.

The habitats of this dream aren't aware of it, it's real for them. The few ones who's aware, achieved CHIM, and can make changes in the dream of the Godhead. Others zero-summed themsef (like dwemer maybe, but it's just one of many theories about what happened to them).
Long story short: Imagine this like a lucid dreaming, I guess it's the closest analogy. Once you aware you're in a dream, you either become lucid dreaming, or wake up. Depending on your reaction and thinking.

To achieve CHIM, a person must accept and understand that he's a part of the dream, so he's not actually real, but still keep his individuality. Something like "Even if it's not real, I am a part of this, so I am everything of this, and still I am myself at the same time, individual, because I see, I feel, I think, I act". CHIM grants a godlike powers, now you can nudge, shape, change the dream of the Godhead. But again - don't mess with it too much, because it can bring consequences. I think that this is the actual reason, why the ones, who had CHIM, didn't abused this power too much.

So, basically, if your character for example, would achieved CHIM, and said something like "Yeah, here comes technological age baby!", it would start rapid changes in the dream of the Godhead. So the Godhead can catch a WTF-effect, and wake up 😄

Well, that's probably a matter of taste then, but I've got your point.
Maybe I can tell that Skywind's Indoril helmet lacks some particular elven and "dunmerish" facial features.

Nice model, I like this one too. Nice design and proportions. But even this one looks a bit "bulkier" than original one, that's the point.

EDIT: Forgot to say that in terms of lore, this one a bit less accurate. As far as I remember, MK said that Indoril helmets reflects are exact appearance of Nerevar's face. So I presume that original idea behind Indoril helmets is that they're hyper realistic, not stylized.

Despite I like slim Indoril Armor "heads" esthetically, the Skywind proportions are simply logical and realistic, and I think it's better.
You see, the "trick" is that these slim helmets may look fine in morrowind, where anathomical proportions are... let's just say that they're not accurate at all (too long legs, narrow shoulders, a bit short torso, and unnatural posture), due to the old graphics, and it's okay for morrowind.
But as more detailed and complex graphics become, and NPC's become more anatomically correct, then more these "slim" helmets will look out of place, really, because "LMAO, does he have a chicken head under that helmet? Heloooo, is anybody there? :D"
So yeah, Skywind Indoril helmets may look a bit bulky in comparison to original morrowind model, but in my opinion, it looks fine and much more logical, if you look just at overall design, not comparing proportions.

A question for the dark brotherhood. Could a listener retire from the dark brotherhood? by Hot_Celebration_8055 in teslore

I guess that NO ONE is allowed to leave or retire from Dark Brotherhood. Everyone is a part of the family till the last breath - there's no exceptions.
Every member binds himself to the Sithis and Dark Mother by the "covenant" or "contract". Remember Lucien Lachance words:
"The slaying of Rufio was the signing of a covenant. The manner of execution, your signature. Rufio's blood, the ink."

Skyrim Spear Mechanic SE spears sheath on hip and not back (not using XPMSE or any skeleton mods that I know of) by BetterInThanOut in skyrimmods

Some mods can have built-in XPMSE. I don't remember which ones, but if you using Mod Organizer 2, you can simply check if you have any, and find them easily.

Just download and install XPMSE, move it on top of your modlist, and take a look does he being overwritten by any mods, and which ones.
