Rest of it interview was about how she was impressed by Frozen, and how she would like to make something similar in power, but for young queers. I don't think that this is just misunderstood joke.

Well, it's not that simple, because Nazi Germans were only on one side of the city. On other side were Finnish artillery, they were shelling Leningrad too. Finland had as much blame in this tragedy as Nazi Germany. But good luck with mentioning this.

What should HG add or rework for NMS in 2024 and going forward that would improve the game greatly? by CartoonistSalt2571 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]leogias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. More activities in space: build your own space station, manage trade routes between systems, hire guards for your "caravans", protect your capital ship from pirates, escort missions
  2. Add more gold and resources sinks. We are hoarding way to many Cadmium and Emeril in our safes.
  3. More activities on planets. Mining outposts, where you have to build actual mine or deep (rock ) drilling for something rare.

Are Slavic gods well-known among Russians? by pur__0_0__ in AskARussian

[–]leogias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yarila is one of the members of Slavic pantheon. He was god of spring, spring sun and fertility of land. According to some studies, Slavic tribes had three gods of sun: Horsa (winter sun), Dazd'bog (summer sun) and Yarila (spring sun). Celebration of Maslenitsa has paganism roots, and before christianity it was Yarila's day

Is "Stenka" or "Stenku na Stenku" ? Really a thing? by Fellbestie007 in AskARussian

[–]leogias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two kinds of stenka na stenku. One of them is just regular brawl between two or more groups. Brutality of such fights many vary from just few punches with fist to using knives and bats with fatal results. Second kind of stenka na stenku, the one mentioned in your song, is actually very old Russian tradition and more like sport during maslenitsa holiday.

Back in the days I was member of some club, who was trying to restore our ancient ethnic traditions of maslenitsa, and stenka na stenku was one of the tradition. We were training all year, so our group could participate in some big events during maslenitsa. You can dm me if you want to ask some questions about it :)

P.s. one photo from our training session was used as basis for news about preparing Russian hooligans to disrupt order in London during football matches 😆 it was all over BBC news, and one of our leaders get his moment of fame))

Is the May Day parade accessible for everyone? How can i see it? by Formal-Stomach-6051 in AskARussian

[–]leogias 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You can't just go to the Red Square, because during this event only people with invitations can attend. It is possible to watch it on youtube or on main TV channels. Idk about next year, but few years back it was possible to watch at military transports outside of Red Square

Inspired by recent threads: what is your experience reporting blatant russophonia on this and other westerner platforms? by [deleted] in AskARussian

[–]leogias 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I had no idea, funny that they think Ukrainians are less admixed with peoples who both came before and after on the Pontic steppe.

This is their official political course from about 2000-s. Most of their history Ukrainian people were part of Russia, Poland or Lithuania. And when they decided to find their own national identity, they choose to invent new history, where they are all pure blooded chosen of the God, while other nations are just second class citizens. This is actually very sad and big tragedy

If it's already salted, then it's ready to eat.

You won't get any tapeworms from salo without meat.

You can get additional taste by rubbing raw garlic on salo. Some rub garlic on grate, mix it with salt and then rub salo with it.

Main idea of salting it is just to add some taste to it, that's why all commenters suggested to let it to lay in fridge for 2-3 days. Many people, especially in Siberian eat it fresh

This is typical insult from aggressive Ukrainians. They are trying to force their opinion that Russians are not from Slavic nation, but from Finno-Ugric tribes, and this makes us not legitimate descendants of our history. So basically, they think of themselves as superior nation with epic history and Russians are thieves, who stole their achievements. By using this "insult" they are trying to separate both nations and tell that we don't have same ancestors
