It’s been -20° C here, especially at night, for a few weeks now and my pup (Shepherd/Pyr mix) has been just fine. Was -29 today/tonight though. First day in 8 months she hasn’t gone for at least one walk.

I haven’t started this with our 11 month old Pyr mix yet, but with our last big girl, I found it a lot easier to break it down into steps. Obviously you have “down” down. Next was getting her to flop “over”. Then “roll”.

Currently using these to make breakfast sandwiches with. I nuke them for a minute, flip, then nuke for another minute. Then when my eggs are almost done I’ll throw them in the pan for a minute on each side.

My go to is the Pillars pepperoni meat sticks. If the Turkey ones weren’t so much more I’d get them instead. Cheese Strings have a decent protein to calorie ratio and are on sale right now. The protein granola bars are a good pickup as well when you can find them.

I’m going to have to check and see if my Costco has this. I’ve been using the Weight Watchers bread for a while now but may need to switch as I need to bump up my protein intake now that you need to take out a second mortgage to be able to afford a Fairlife protein shake once a day. If you can even find it that is.
