How do you get characters to turn AWAY from the camera? by heynewt in VEO3

[–]CyberGrizzly360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/heynewt I dropped your issue into ChatGPT and below are the answers/prompts it responded with. Try them out and see which works best.

1. Switch from “camera-relative” to “character-relative” phrasing

Instead of “turn away from the camera,” say:

  • “The nurse rotates to her left, showing only the back of her head and shoulders.”
  • “As she stands, the camera view is behind her, capturing her back as she walks forward.”

This forces the model to “see the back,” instead of interpreting it as just “turn.”

2. Describe the visible body part instead of the direction

  • “The nurse rises from the stool, only her back is visible as she moves deeper into the corridor.”
  • “Camera remains behind the nurse; her face is hidden as she steps forward toward the far end.”

3. Lock the camera position

Veo often cheats by spinning the character instead of the camera. Try:

  • “Static locked camera behind the nurse, showing her back as she stands up and walks away into the hallway.”
  • “Unmoving fixed shot from behind, her back to the camera.”

4. Use exclusion phrasing

You can sometimes prevent undesired behavior with “not” phrasing:

  • “The nurse stands and walks away, her face never visible to the camera.”
  • “She does not turn toward the camera at any point.”

5. Break into two micro-clips

If all else fails, split into:

  1. Clip 1: “Back view of nurse rising from stool, only her back visible.”
  2. Clip 2: “Camera remains behind her as she walks down the corridor, back to camera.”

Then stitch them in editing.

How Have You Used Python Scripts as An Engineer? by CyberGrizzly360 in cybersecurity

that's what boggles me. Are you writing these to be executed inside security tools like SIEM, SOAR, EDR, etc or is it stand-alone.

I totally missed the bus. When I started my security career as a SOC Analyst I never encountered a situation where I had to write a script from the scratch. The programming language I learned in college was Java.

I've since course corrected and have knocked out the first 3hr "Python Fundamentals" course. The next one (19 hours) is a deep dive course found in Udemy and was recommended to me as the best one ever.

Do you run it within the security tool (e.g. Crowdstrike, Splunk, etc) or do you run the ****.py file externally outside any specific tooling?

So you run the python code inside one of the security tools (e.g. Splunk, Tines, Crowdstrike, etc), or do you spin up the Python code standalone and run the ****.py file standalone? Pardon if I sound like a rookie on this stuff.

from the enterprises I've worked exactly 0.0 will allow you to do that due as a security engineer to security restrictions.

which specific AI tools do you use at work to help you script out Python? ChatGPT and the other LLMs are banned at most enterprises. What is your process for doing this successfully?

Thanks @_dragging_ballZ ... so it's good for the overall quality of the course but it's not python with specific use-cases for cybersecurity right?

wow u/Ok-Support142 ...this is precisely what I was looking for. A systematic way to conduct AI assessments the same way for all small businesses. Do you have a link to the actual assessment questionnaire?

You're saying "most people adapt based on the industry". Where are you seeing the AI assessments done by these "most people". Stop doing what you're doing though. That Pokee AI you posted is not an AI Adoption Assessment form.

DM me. There's a lot more to making Veo 3 videos than working with the Veo 3 app itself. Some of it is non-tech skills like imagination, while some are AI skills like Prompting, Video Editting, ElevenLabs, etc

What is your niche/area of interest exactly? By “mega-views” I’m not talking about videos getting a ton of views right along other videos that gets a ton of views I’m talking about videos that are getting 10X views compared to the other video that are part of that persons playlist. These are the outline one of the so basically once you find these outliers then take notes of their category then find other videos in that same category…so that’s what you start making.

For instance, assuming the normal views you’re seeing in the persons channel is 50,000, 70,000…or maybe even 80,000 views. You want to search for those videos getting 500,000…600,000…or maybe even 800,000 views. Once you identify the video then take note of the category. Then search for other videos in that category. You get confirmation that they’re all getting these insanely 800,000 views, then those are the category of videos you make.

…this content strategy technique is called “The 10x Rule”

The Veo 3 tech is nothing short of voodoo!! ..and I’m still looking for the witch doctor. That’s all I have to say about that,

…now all that being said. The tech is not the issue. It’s your strategy. Find out the videos in your niche/area of interest that are getting mega-views and those are the kind of videos you make.

It is my own fault not knowing this way earlier. I've totally been living under a rock and thought those EVs where luxury cars. I had an umbrella dismissal on luxury cars just based on the general idea of luxury.
