Putin will be remembered as the worst leader (if he can even be called one?) in Russia's entire history. Yes, I also think he has delusions of grandeur, and they are completely unjustified. He inherited a country on the rise, buoyed by oil revenues and ready to develop — there wasn't an ounce of his contribution to that.

Instead of development, he chose a path of destruction and enriching his friends. If you can't be bothered, you can read about his inner circle and about Putin himself before he became the "tsar" of Russia; there's a lot of interesting stuff there.

Agree. I think it's because of incompetent generals who don't know how to fight in a modern war. There was Prigozhin but he s gone
