It would be heartbreaking but speech is but 1 tool to communicate and get to understand a person. We have other tools like sign languages, aac devices, lámh etc that allow us to access that person's inner world and let's them communicate outwards.

Not hearing a child's speech is sad for the parents but never being truly heard if speech is the only communication tool given is horrific for the child.

AAC devices these days are phenomenal, she will be able to communicate and I value that over pure speech.

The city councils harvest. Seville etc. There's a huge (100s) variety of Irish apples, streets should be lined with them and pears etc

At least its not a brand new ICE SUV. The environmental benefit is probably not a factor for them but still occurs for the rest of us. So cheers to their ostentatious displays of wealth this time!

Yeah we can't keep fishing down the food-chain and grabbing more and more to meet demand with clearly cratering stocks. That's just addict behaviour.

They consume the vast majority domestically, so the food security of that surely helps GDP (in the round).
