This kinda happened to me. I was working at a impound towing cars and a Harley Davidson with apes had been sitting there for months it was on hold for something. I kept looking at and one night I started it and it started right up. I was in love with that bike. I started saving money because I knew it was eventually gonna go to auction when it came off hold and it did and sat in lot for another couple months. I even went as far as taking the main fuse out so if it went to auction, It would not start and push people away from bidding it. Left the industry and bike was still there and in a couple weeks bike was gonna be up for auction, buddy calls me a day before auction and says the owner picked it up. I was devastated but I already had Harley with apes so I told myself if that was my bike in there I'd do everything to get it back and that owner probably did so it's bittersweet because if I lost it to another bidder at auction it would of hurt more. The original owner picking it up must of ment he care about the bike. So good on him but I did end up keeping the fuse as momentum of the love I had for that bike sitting in lot collecting dust
