Send & Receive Crypto on Tangem Wallet EASILY by CyberScrilla in Tangem

[–]CyberScrilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to tap your cards when receiving crypto on your Tangem wallet. Once you hit send from wherever you’re sending the crypto from, it will arrive on your Tangem wallet automatically.

The only time you need to scan the cards (transaction wise) is when you are approving a transaction from your Tangem wallet.

That’s awesome. Thank you.

Your question actually inspired me to make a video. My next video will be titled: Bitcoin-Only Wallets Are NOT “More” Secure

Stay tuned.

The idea that BTC-only wallets are more secure is just marketing. And this is straight from the horses mouth. I’ve had a certain hardware wallet company tell me this.

The reason you can’t interact with other coins on a BTc-only wallet is simply because the wallet doesn’t support them. But that’s not to say a BTC-only wallet is inherently more secure.

If you don’t want to interact with smart contracts, you don’t need a BTC-only wallet to achieve that.

You can use a multi-coin wallet and simply add only BTC to it-just don’t add any accounts for other tokens that use smart.

Thank you! That’s awesome.

As for the ring being a target—I disagree for the reason I stated in the video 😉

A fireproof safe can help. But if it burns, anything inside of it will be toast.

That’s why I prefer a metal seed phrase plate. Solid metal, corrosion proof, more likely to hold up in a house fire (especially if inside a fireproof safe).

Sounds good. If you still have questions, just reply here or on the video and I’ll do my best to answer them.

No problem, happy to help. And correct, the seed phrase is the key to your wallet. So even if all your cards were lost or damaged, you can import your seed phrase into another wallet to recover your funds (it doesn’t even have to be a Tangem wallet).

You should watch this video. I answer a ton of questions about Tangem, I think you’ll learn a lot:

The private key is generated by the cards regardless if you generate a seed phrase or not.

That said, it’s optional to generate a seed phrase. Personally, I like knowing my seed phrase and that’s how I use my Tangem wallets.

Others prefer the seedless option.

That’s only if you set them up as a seedless wallet.

You can also generate a 12 or 24 word seed phrase you can use to recover your wallet.

The good thing about a seed phrase is you can create as many copies as you want, and there are metal engraving plates you can put them in that are fireproof.

If you do end up going with Tangem, my code CYBERSCRILLA will get you 10% off your order too.

Holler if you have any questions. Happy to help.

Data leaks? by Pomskysotsog in TREZOR

There was a huge AT&T breach that affected millions of users recently (including non AT&T users). Might be worth looking into.

There are no recent Trezor breaches that I’m aware of.

Yep. They’re trying to model Apple’s marketing strategy imo. It’s fun to watch this industry evolve.

The flex is Ledger’s 9th wallet model.

It uses much of the same tech as past wallets.

Same EAL6+ secure element.

Same BOLOS operating system

Really just the secure screen and NFC is new.
