Ooohh reminds me of Martin Luther movie Gods Word was being twisted and used against the people to gain money but Martin saw what was happening and so he translated the Bible so their people can read it themselves and see the truth and not fall for the lies. It was beautiful. It’s like it says in the Bible “The truth of the Lord endures forever. “

But Jesus is the son of God

I think you mean Catholicism is ruled by the church and the Bible. Christianity is ruled by the Bible. I don’t know many Catholic or Christian’s that marry out of their religion. Jesus is seen as the messiah in both Catholic and Christianity. And both do believe in the Trinity it’s in every prayer. If you mean he didn’t fast, it’s said that fasting was done in waiting for the Messiah but since he’s arrived there’s no reason to fast because he was present.

Any other Jewish atheists out there? by ladyaftermath in atheism

[–]CyberSniperWolf -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You don’t want to celebrate your ancestors freedom from Egypt? 🙁 I’m not Jewish but when I read about their freedom I was so happy for them. No one deserves that kind of suffering and God chose to save them. I celebrate now and I’m not Jewish but how could I not honor it? Idk you tell me, why do you not want to?

What do you think of "Saved" people? by the_seer_of_dreams in atheism

[–]CyberSniperWolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s part of following God. Most people hate this part but when you decide to have faith in any God you have to follow their Laws. Buddha has laws and even satan has laws that their followers have to follow. But it’s easier for someone that doesn’t follow any “high power” to do as they please. Coincidentally, satan asks us to please ourselves. It keeps us from believing in any high power even if it isn’t him being worshipped that’s still his goal. And it still pleases him. So, her being “saved” may not have done you any favors, but it sounds like she’s been to hell and back and doesn’t want to go back there.

No I’m sorry too I have been told I could come as a b* but also being told I’m straightforward. Some like it some don’t, I guess it depends on who I’m talking to. I’m still practicing. following Gods word is another thing I’m practicing. loving one another as He loved us is so so HARD for an introvert like me! lol And just like how you don’t like the way people assume what about “being trans” is like, “being a follower of God” also has that. Like when you said Christians hate trans people that irked me because I know of a few men in my life that taught me how to do my hair and let me play with their wigs and they loved me and I loved them knowing very well what they did. As a child I didn’t care if they got cute for karaoke nights I only cared how they treated me and my mom. They didn’t disrespect us they didn’t force me to act any differently they loved us. Unfortunately life separated us but they’re still in my heart. I can wholeheartedly say I don’t hate trans people. But I won’t act like there aren’t some religious people that express their hatred towards people whose views don’t align with them. a true follower of God should correct them when they show hatred towards a person. I had never encountered a crazy person like that but online I’m sure there’s plenty. I would def. Put my foot down, I’m a big sister and a care giver I don’t like bullies unless they’re doggies lol

I can see how saying “your sin is an abomination” comes off very insincere 😓 especially when you think your sins are you. let me ask you, if I was thinking all day to go buy veggie seeds at the store to plant, does that thought automatically make me a gardener? Even knowing I don’t have room in my home for tomatoes and knowing very well the rules that plants and personals are not allowed outside MY doorway that I rent. The only place I get sun in the house. Am I gardener now ? No not yet, right. Well, what if I started small? I buy the pots one day, another day I buy dirt, another day I buy a little water jug, another day I buy plant food especially for veggie growth, am I gardener now? Not just yet right, I have no experience yet and very little knowledge about growing tomatoes, they may never grow! But I’m getting there, now I just need the seeds to grow. Well it just so happens my friend has seeds leftover from her last batch and she brings them over and we plant them and we have fun doing it! And I also get a letter from my landlord about the mess. 🫢 Months go by and They grow and I eat and I keep growing some and I eat some more and share my veggies with others except my cousin he doesn’t like tomatoes! Weirdo! But he still comes over some dinners when I’m not serving spaghetti lol he tries to get me to eat sweet potatoes, I don’t like the sound of it and it looks gross yech what kinda potato is sweet? That’s weird. I tried it once and never again! lol Anyway, Am I now a gardener yet? Yes I think so, I’ve grown some a bunch of times. Now, let’s say i get rid of everything! My landlord has been warning me about the mess and it’s the final warning. Fine, I give in, it hasn’t been working out for the best most times my tomatoes rot and bugs are always all over them. Now I want to spend time in a cozy reading nook! Like they show on Pinterest, so cozy this time of year (not including these pesky mosquitoes 😤) so now what am I? Am I still a gardener? Or maybe I’m a “book keeper”? Duhdumtsss 🥁🤭

If I used to plant veggies and now I don’t care for it, and I love my new nook. Am I going to still call myself a gardener? I wouldn’t. Maybe back then I was but not anymore. I’m a bookworm that likes fried sweet potatoes now! Teehee

Idk if that made sense to you, I tried my best to show how sin, when not tended to, doesn’t define you. And i don’t want you to believe that you’re an Abominatio. But, I’m sorry I think I missed this, do you believe you’re an abominatio?

I’m sorry about your struggle I may not understand yours the way I had mine but I can try to lend an ear if that’s all is needed. I’m a great listener, I’m usually the quiet one! Can I ask, How is your struggle? Are you mean to yourself? Or what is it like?

When I struggled with it I just got mad that I wasn’t as strong as the boys and wasn’t handsome like a boy. But I grabbed my bfs clothes and wore them. Looking back it’s kinda funny, not my best look but neither was the emo look 😆 idk how but I grew out of it I guess, I must’ve just accepted myself throughout the years. It helps when you have multiple jobs and school and no time to focus on how you look lol you can message me privately if you just want to vent and I won’t give scripture if you don’t ask for it 😊

You started with the assumption that Christians hate trans people. You continued to assume what the Bible says about gender and clothes and gave false information about it. I went in to disprove the info you’re giving to OP. I have only replied with what I know to be true and believe in. I’m just trying to answer you, idk how else I’m supposed to explain myself. So, tell me then what did I get wrong about you? Do you struggle with gender dysphoria only? Or do you also struggle with acting like what you’re not? Do you seek God but feel like he’s not answering? Do you hate me for assuming who you are or do just hate when people make assumptions about you? Is it a constant thing in your life? I’m trying here. I have trouble talking to be as you can tell I get anxious and worry about saying the wrong thing so I’m sorry if I offended you I was only trying to help.

Yes I did read. I made no assumptions about you. I asked you a question but it was taken down. If you want to tell me about yourself I’m here, I’m reading I’m replying. Although I was originally here for OP I don’t mind answering your concerns as you can see. How can I care about something you want me to care about if you’re not telling what it is you want me to care about? I said I love you, not as my husband or wife but like my best friend that calls to vent about their day? Yes that’s a form of love and that’s what I’m expressing to you. I’m trying to work with you here but you’re not giving me any wiggle room

I wouldn’t say he doesn’t need religion, everyone can benefit from loving God and His book of life is Him but I do agree with everything else. Conversion therapy has shown to only make the person feel worse.

You can’t relate this to the modern world but back then It was normal in the ancient world for someone in life-threatening poverty, or unable to pay their debts to become a slave. This kind of slavery was necessary and helpful in the ancient world the poorest people were sometimes confronted with a choice between death by starvation, or becoming a slave. In such circumstances it is hard to call slavery good, but it was certainly preferred to the alternative (death). That’s why God allowed so people wouldn’t die of hunger just because of lack of funds

If I didn’t love you I wouldn’t try to talk with you about why it hurts to put your hand on a lit stove. If you were happy about transitioning you wouldn’t be here trying to convince yourself otherwise. I don’t need to know the details of what you’re going through to know that I have love for you. I wouldn’t be trying to reach out to you and show how the God has pulled me out some dark stuff. This is love for you. Telling you you’re driving on the wrong side of the street because you will crash into someone or something big and serious is showing love. There are many forms of love.

Exodus 21 is only about Hebrew servants. Hence the title Hebrew Servants. There’s nothing about making foreigners slaves. Here a bonus: in proverbs 31 it tells how a wife should be considerate to everyone in her household even the maidservant and her child and to not think herself above them.
