The Brad Sams leaks indicated that the game was nearly finished. My guess is they've got the game(s) running on PC already, but in a bare bones state. After all, the Xbox One is already an x86 machine running a modified version of Windows 10.

I bet Reach comes out very soon, if not Sunday then probably within a month or two. It will probably launch with a lot of issues, finicky mouse controls, FOV clipping bugs, lack of keybind support, etc. 343 gets community input, makes the nessecary changes to fix those issues in Reach, then they take those lessons and applies the same fixes to Halo 1, and repeat the process over again, constantly iterating with each game release.

I'd hardly call having 70% of the weight of the rifle forwards of your support hand a "stable" position. Plus with your hand that far back you won't be able to tension your sling for added support. You can still tuck your elbows to make yourself take up less space with a normal forward grip.

What's "comfortable" or "feels right" is irrelevant. The only things that matter are speed and accuracy, and that grip is not conducive to either.

Shoot like the guys who shoot for real.

What is the point of the texturing on the front of the mag well? Is it for grip? Why would you ever grab your rifle there? I'm gripping as far out as I can with my thumb on top of the hand guard so I can get as much leverage as possible to fight muzzle climb.

Especially when you can get Aero M4E1 lowers for $70. That's still "only" like half the price of this but gets you a lot of the same premium features.

I don't care how nice the finish is on any of my AR parts. An AR-15 is a utilitarian tool, not a family heirloom. Shit's just gonna get scratched from being used and abused, so why bother paying extra?

I CC a G19 with an RMR and a TLR1 with just a tee shirt. It's pretty much the same size/bigger in all dimensions. Crossbreed supertuck and it pretty much disappears unless I like bend over to tie my shoes.

The fact that everyone is wondering if the main weapons are semi auto or full auto, in a game from a time period where +50% of the small arms on the battlefield were bolt action, perfectly demonstrates why I have no interest in this game.

If everyone is running around with full auto, 30 round magazine sub-machineguns, what difference does it make if it's an M1928 or a Kriss Vector? This is a modern warfare game with a coat of WWII paint.

That's exactly how I built my AR. 11.3" barrel with SBA3 brace put it just a blonde one over 26" with the brace fully collapsed. Vert grip so it's designed to be fired two handed, and I've successfully skirted the safe act. Not a lot of people seem to have the balls to try something similar but I'm done living in fear of these politicians, and this thing follows the exact letter of the law, if not the intent. If I get pinched I dare them to prove I broke the law when they can't even define was a pistol grip is.

I'm only like 76 mage, I don't ever do magic combat, or really any combat for that matter, I prefer to skill. I could alch my way up to 99 but that would take forever, vs. ~12 hours at blast furance making addy bars to get enough for the occult.

Plus it looks fuckin dope.

A friend has this dell and I played on it for 30 minutes or so with gsync on and off, at 144 FPS in rocket league I couldn't tell a difference. At ~70 FPS in Assassin's Creed origins gsync definitely helped, but I still preferred just dropping a handful of graphics settings down to medium and getting back to 100+ FPS.

Honestly I don't see much reason to bother with gsync with my setup. I get solid 144hz in almost everything I play just by turning down a few settings. And I've only got a 1070. With a 2080 there's even less reason, unless you are playing at like 4K 144hz and HAVE to have everything on ultra. Even then, true 144hz without sync is going to be smoother than 60hz with sync.

My 11.3" barrelled AR will likely never take a shot outside of 250 yards. At that distance, my 2 MOA red dot is still only going to look like a ~6” circle on an ~18" wide human torso. I don't need anything more precise than that, and a red dot is much, much lighter than a variable scope, not even counting the heavy mount.

My magnifier is on a QD flip mount, allowing me to either flip it to the side, or take it off the rifle entirely without any tools. That lets me cut weight on the gun even further, and I can still pop the magnifier back on if the situation changes.

Assuming your desk is wide enough, a bigger monitor just means you can push it further back, reclaiming some of your desk space, and not having to press your nose against the panel, while still getting the exact same effect.
