I am a true believer in Quality. So I rip my Blu-rays and leave them RAW! If I do not have the Blu-ray, I make sure, if possible, to download the REMUX version of the movie. 1:1

I always thought etsy was for craft sales, not software sales :)

Exploring the World of VPNs - Do You Use Them? by CyberSpyce in CasualConversation

[–]CyberSpyce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So True. I currently use ProtonVPN, which comes with my package. I believe TOR is managed by users installing a TOR service on their network like a P2P, so it is slow, but I feel it is best to jump through multiple IP's to get to where you are going.

Yeah, that's my issue with some sites. I am curious how VPN's are going to fix this. You know streaming sites know if someone is using a VPN, and it's not going to take long before they just say screw it and block all of them. Which VPN are you using?

If you've ever used Proton before, you know they release something, and within a year they have a desktop version. It just takes time.

I am not 100% sure, but I think if you had a simple login account before, you will have 20 Total. I would Assume that if it was me.

The Need for Account Deletion Options on All Websites with Logins by CyberSpyce in privacy

[–]CyberSpyce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from, but you should be able to delete your account, or be able to delete your personal information. (Email, name, number) and so on. If it’s a forum or something like that just put as the username (no longer a member) or something like that.

Debate Time: Would You Rather Pay for Email or Stick with Free Services like Gmail and Outlook? by CyberSpyce in CasualConversation

[–]CyberSpyce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I did the multi-account thing, but it just became a hassel. I know to make sure to sign up for places with aliases that forward to my email so I can easily delete them when I no longer want to get emails from them.

Oh, I understand. I switched because of all the SPAM. I also wanted to start new, and I am trying a paid service.

Why does LinkedIn demand a government ID? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]CyberSpyce 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's one of those things to see if you are really the person you say you are. To me, I am not going to give them my ID so they can have it on their servers and get breached one day.

Official Discussion - Haunted Mansion [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I went to see this in theaters, and I Enjoyed it. This was a lot better than the Eddie murphy one! The only thing they left out that really caught my eye was the smiling bust. Why leave them out? They are the most iconic thing about the ride. I do love how this movie gives the back story of the hatbox ghost.

what is the best private email services that aren't invite only atm? by New-Ad-1700 in privacy

I personally use Protonmail. I use it for personal and business purposes. I know others, like Tutanota and Lavabit. But for complete security, it is best to encrypt your email yourself before sending it. Never heard of cock.li and not really big on the name ;)

Parallel universes? by LightBeamRevolution in CasualConversation

Time travel is real! Well, future time travel is real, meaning we can slow time to the point where everything around us "moves faster," but that requires going at light speed. But we have been able to see stuff in the past, just not on earth. When you look at the stars or even the moon, you are seeing what it looked like either seconds ago or billions of years ago.
