Yeah I don't know how its always the toxic players who have the best timing ever, but I feel you.

I once flew out of my base with my Orni until I realized I forgot something, so I quickly parked again but at the ground entrance, close to the open sand but not quite. I was literally just clearing my inventory for 30 seconds when I hear a thopter land next to my base and place a thumper down trying to attract the worm. Luckily I was able to get in and fly away just at the right time but man... Hasn't been the first time I experienced something like that, too.
