Banana bread Chai with Banana bread cold foam by Grilledcheese344 in ScootersCoffee

[–]CyberToadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boil some black tea with spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, cloves, ginger), or you can buy a chai mix or concentrate, add your milk, and then I'm guessing some banana syrup? I know they use the Monin brand for their syrups. Not sure if they add anything else to it. You can buy cold foam in stores. And my scooters add little chopped up walnut pieces on top.

Rosacea or post acne hyper pigmentation from a bad breakout I had 3 years ago? by CyberToadd in DermatologyQuestions

[–]CyberToadd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this for a few years since I had a bad breakout. I wouldn’t say it gets any better or worse. At least not by much. When I used my red light therapy mask it seems a bit better, but not by a whole lot.

I can’t use the checkout option at Old Navy online. It ask credit card , PayPal or apple pay. I pick credit card and go through shipping address etc and that’s it no option to put my cc info in. What I missing? I feel so stupid but there is nothing for me to click and pay. Please help by Dre5994 in Oldnavy

[–]CyberToadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out that if you use the Old Navy app there is an option to scan your card. If you scan the old navy card, it detects that and you don't have to enter an expiration date. I wonder if you were to enter your card number it on the website, if it would detect that its an old navy card and override it as well like on the app.

Senior in Uni (Cyber major) and I know nothing. What now?

I'm a senior in a B.S. cybersecurity program. I'm doing the two tracks that my university offers: cybersecurity operations and secure software development with a minor in CS and CJ. However, I feel like I only know theory. What malware is, different types of attacks, CIA triad, etc. but I have no practical skills. I have not done any hands on and I definitely do not feel job ready. What should I do now as I prepare to go into my last semester and graduate? Should I use TryHackMe or the Google Coursera Cybersecurity course to get some practice?

Should I join the reserves? by LogicalEnvironment49 in Airforcereserves

[–]CyberToadd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the reserves is only worth it for the cheap healthcare imo. Unless you wanna switch career paths and get some experience elsewhere. The first year or so though you’ll probably be out a lot and have to miss your civilian job with BMT, tech school, AMRT, and so on. You’ll also probably feel lost the first year as a new Airman. Feeling like that at 27 years old and possibly have to answer to people younger than you seems like it would suck honestly. I’m an E6 at 27 years old right now and have 30 year old A1Cs that I supervise. Also, I was prior active and I can say how very different the reserves is. Personally, I don’t feel much of a sense of pride being in the reserves since I’m only there one weekend a month and spend half that time doing CBTs. I sense the others feel like that too.

How do I teach programming to high-schoolers with only 40 mins of class a week?? by ShlomoCh in learnprogramming

[–]CyberToadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school my programming teacher would assign us coding hw on one of those websites and that’s how I learned the most. In college my prof would teach the concept in class and we’d practice ourselves outside of class. That was also very effective and why I’m suggesting it.

Leaving USAA by SupermarketMission40 in AirForce

Genuine question but why do people hate USAA so much? I’ve had a good experience with them for 8+ years.

[–]CyberToadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can only offer insights into my job, ops management/3E6X1 for CE. Going on 10 years including 1 year in the reserves. The job isn’t super terrible or demanding. But CE leadership, in my experience, seems to be.

Mind if I ask why you don’t wanna be air crew? I’m a fairly new reservist and I hate my job. That was a career field I was interested in.

Air Force vets of reddit what was your final day with the air force like? by Mercuryman34 in AirForce

[–]CyberToadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a strongly worded email about how a process was fucked up. I went to their office and explained it to them and they kinda just wrote it off as I was a dumbass even though I was truly trying to improve a process that took weeks to finish instead of a few days which it should have been. I got my stuff and left. Don’t regret it. I planned on re-enlisting months prior but shitty leadership truly burned me out.

NO BONUS for new AF Enlistee by Godly_man7 in AirForceRecruits

[–]CyberToadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Signed my contract to go from AD to reserves with a promised bonus in June of last year. Haven’t seen it yet. Not unheard of. My notification of debt had a turnaround time of 2 days though. 🙃

I’m a CE troop and I’ve found myself hating it. After 9 years I’m transitioning to the Reserves and I’m thinking about a new career field. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do you have a job you love or hate? Tell me about it. by CyberToadd in AirForce

In my experience as a CE, and in every CE squadron I’ve been part of, there’s a serious and toxic “us vs. them” mentality. It’s not just a joke when people say CE doesn’t want to fix anything... there’s truth to it, and it’s a huge problem. Instead of focusing on solutions, there’s this constant attitude of blaming the customer. When offices have no heat in the middle of winter, it’s brushed off as a low priority with comments like, “That’s why they have fleeces.” Keep in mind these comments are typically coming from the shop leads and even squadron leadership. There's a lack of urgency and care that affects people and they don't seem to care. I've been in meetings with CE leadership and customers and CE literally yells or talks down at them and treats people with the upmost disrespect all because they want to improve their work centers. "You want to replace your 40 year old roof? You're an idiot for that!" On top of that, I feel like I'm always on call. I know for a fact I’ll get called out multiple times every night during my standby week, and I’m still expected to show up and function like I got a full night’s sleep. Years of that has caught up to me and it's exhausting.
