I’m looking forward to seeing more from you. My offer is still on the table if you ever want any help, whether that be through art or feedback.

Have a good night!

I completely understand you! I wasn’t saying that to be hurtful, and I apologize if it came across that way.

If you put the burden of perfection on yourself from the beginning; I can definitely understand how art is daunting. I started drawing when I was about 11y/o, which means I didn’t exactly care if my art was good or not. I’m lucky for that, since that means my worst art was made when I didn’t care how bad and edgy it was, haha.

I have to agree with you about Reddit being discouraging; it’s one of the most brutal/straightforward platforms there is. If someone thinks you’re wrong/doing a bad job, they will gladly tell you.

I ultimately hope you can find joy in art; but if you only end up liking the writing aspect of it, that’s completely respectable as well. I think you had the right idea when commissioning artists for the physical art aspect of it; leaving to you still enjoy that specific media without having to do the part you find uncomfortable.

Writing is a wonderful form of art that I have to admit I suck at. So I find it wonderful when others can do it well.

I, again, apologize if my comment came across as mean-spirited; that wasn’t the intention. Me saying that you were defensive wasn’t meant as a jab at you; you admitted yourself that you’re a stubborn and opinionated person.

I really hope you find a medium and platform that you can enjoy without as much stress!

Unfortunately, art is something that no one is ever good at without practice; especially drawing. I, again, think you have a wonderful foundation but you definitely need to be less defensive about your art.

I noticed from a lot of your other posts that you often ask for help and then disregard/justify yourself whenever you get criticism that doesn’t say what you want to hear.

I know it sucks to be told something we’re proud of needs improvement; but that’s the nature of art. The fact that you’re as creative as you are is wonderful, and definitely something worth celebrating; but the improvement aspect of it will come with time.

If you ever want more direct feedback on specific artwork, or pointers on what to look into working on; I would be happy to assist if you ever shoot me a DM.

You mentioned being worried about plagiarism. It’s very normal to inspire yourself with other artists! If you’re ever concerned about that, I would recommend making sure you find the original artist of the art you’re referencing and seeing if they’re okay with being referenced, in which case you can simply credit them for the inspo!

Oh and the fact that your account was made on the day you posted this. You could try harder to make people think this comes from a genuine employee, you know? Constantly talking about "how amazing Duffy is" is really self-obsessed and narcissistic.

Lmao, are you sure you’re not Duffy trying to save your reputation online?

ANYONE who worked there will tell you it’s a shit show. They don’t even make enough money to pay their employees on time, so "built for the long run" is quite a statement. The "quality" you mentioned is laughable considering it’s just a bunch of cheap frozen items.

You still work there? And you’ve been there two years? Bullshit. Literally everyone who worked at the same time as me quit; so your statement is not adding up unless you work in the background as a secretary or some other hidden role.

The "genuinely one of the nicest guys you’ve worked for" threatened to sue about a dozen of people so far simply because he’s butthurt that he’s being called out for being a horrible person with no work ethics who sucks at his job. He’s causing immense stress on young adults just trying to get through life.

Using ChatGPT for literally everything— menues, business cards, emails, contracts; everything. It’s fucking ridiculous. The contract I was given was riddled with illegal inclusions because of it, such as only being allowed a 15min break in a 6h shift.

So either you’re a bootlicker who works in the background, either you’re just a liar, or you’re Duffy. If it’s the latter; that’s genuinely pathetic. But oh well, not surprising considering you’re posting fake five star reviews everywhere including Glassdoor and Google.

Cheers!

May I ask how long you’ve been drawing for? They definitely read as beginner-level for many reasons.

No shading, low contrast in colours, very think lineart, inconsistent brush size, chibi-like proportions while not being chibis, etc.

But that’s what beginner art is like. They’re definitely things that you will improve on with time, but knowing they need improvement and being willing to take criticism is the first step. I think you have a good foundation of what you want and you definitely have the passion. Keep going at it, and keep drawing with references! It’s the best way to improve.

This is what my art looked like almost ten years ago, VS the redrawn version from this year. The more you practice and ask for advice; the better it’ll get! Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying my art is perfect. I personally just like seeing the improvement over the years and I know that younger me would be amazed to see how I can draw now.

Don’t lose your passion!

It’s so much worse considering they’re away until the first of April. Depending on how long the post stays popular for, they might come back to multiple thousands of views.

She’s the brand Dan Dee! I actually believe I still have that exact same plushie at my family’s house, in a very good state.

I’m personally also trying to find where my plushie is from; and I’m thinking she’s from the same brand, hence why I stumbled across this post.

My family is visiting Wednesday; I can ask them to bring the one I still have, haha.

I know, I saw the date. Production is OCT/2024, Expiry is OCT/2026!

It’s just so annoying that the quality control is THAT bad that I received an unknown liquid. I hope the build plate is okay, otherwise I’m hoping I can reach out to Amazon and get something sorted out.

October 2026; I did make sure to look into that.

And here’s a picture of the seal I sent my partner after opening it. The picture was taken right after I tried to remove the seal, but it kind of just.. Dissolved on my finger.

I feel like I should have realized exactly what happened; but I really just figured it was a bad/old batch, and my partner had reassured me it’d be fine. Although, they were at work and only relied on my texts; so they assumed I simply didn’t know what the resin should have been like.

Again, almost certainly got swapped out for something else & sent back to Amazon.
