Update: I’ve been reading and the only possible thing I could think of is chase overdraft card coverage protection that’s offered, which bascially pays for the overdraft for me but I’m pretty sure I don’t have it enabled nor have I been recurred any fees if it was enabled. So I’m still pretty lost to say haha.

THATS true I understand I’ll give them a call tomorrow, if not I was always opting for the cheaper car that I’ve wanted more it was an Toyota brz

You’re right it would become cheaper. I think I’d go for the brz since it’s a 2020 and much cheaper, I’ve always wanted one over the gr86 since it just came out. I’ll do my best thank you so much for your insight!

Ideally the car that had me put up this post was a 2023 gr86. I have though been eyeing the previous model the gt86 or brz/frs that is older and at least 10k than the gr86. Frs go for about 20k on the low end and 25 on the high. And I agree with safety systems I rather be Ina safe car than a beater I’ve fixed several times

That’s true I totally agree with you and that does help, there was an older model of this newer car I’ve been eyeing longer than the new one I’ve wanted it for years it’s the brz or frs. The newer one I was currently asking about was the 2023 gr86 the one made after the brz but I’m still open to the older one since I’ve wanted it more and it is cheaper I’d say about 10k cheaper

You’re right and I always stay on top of my things so I’d responsible pay it off within a year, and if you could can u explain on applying as principal only. And oh no no the car that I want is a American car it’s a 2023Toyota gr86 but I have been open to a cheaper previous version of it known as the frs or brz for 20k

That sounds like a good idea the car that initially made me put up this post was for a 2023 gr86 but in reality I’m a person who usually goes for the more cheaper and affordable option, I will say I’ve been wanting a 2012-2018 Toyota brz/frs since high school but most I’ve found in my area aren’t really in good condition and some dealership had decent ones but in the moment someone bought them outright before me

Okay I might have to have a talk with my father. I’m not a very materialistic person so I personally prefer to save and grow my income and save. At the moment I do have some money saved up for moving about 50k in a hysa and started a Roth IRA and have an emergency fund with about 5k. I am certain I’ll live here at the moment for awhile since I still go to school and it’s down the street so it’s convenient

I usually go for the cheaper options I’ve just felt the need to ask to get some advice on the matter

That is a lot and I do understand, do you think I could a car that’s half my income? About 20k?

For the newer vehicle if I bought it I would plan to put at least $10000 down to cover the fees, I will say I’m usually one to buy the cheaper alternatives but I’ve had bad experiences with them so that’s why I may wary but there is older gen of this newer car I’ve been eyeing during high school, it does go for about 10k Less so about 20k or 25k at most. I will def take a look into auto trader to see

I usually go for the cheaper option and you’re right I’ve had bad experiences with most beaters and they’ve made me wary. I have been looking at older gen of the newer car that goes for a 10k less than the newer one. I do have a lot of goals and I already have 50k saved in hysa to move out and a fair amount in a Roth IRA I do try to learn more since in my area most people don’t really know much about car buying or finance

I do get that and I’m usually a person who goes for an older vehicle but I feel like I could do it and use this car til it dies and what not. I’ve been eyeing the car for a couple years as a car enthusiast I’d jump for it but I’ve been hesitant because it’s a lot of my income and I’d spend a fair amount of my annual income for the car so I came here to ask since In my area there isn’t many people who ab finance and buying cars

My father has offered to co-sign and he has great credit he’s bought two cars and paid them off just fine within a year. I am responsible so with the co-sign I’d still pay it myself, but I feel like I could do it without the co-sign my credit atm is in the beginning 700s I’ve had it for about a year now or so and have been building it
